Your not realy bothered you just stole the content just to get views disgusting rip freddy

Absolute legend, a national treasure RIP, so much talent in one man, steeplejack, steam engineer, architect, amazing technical drawings. Closest we have now is Guy Martin.

Working-class men like Dibnah built the modern world we all take for granted.

He owned steam engines, his home was turned into a museum. He was great to watch , so interesting. You need to watch how he knocks it down 😂

He had a coalmine set up in his back garden. He was one of a kind.  His tour of Britain before he died was a fantastic show. He drove the length of Britain in his steam engine towing an old fashioned style caravan. R.I.P. Fred. Sadly missed

Fred Dibnah was from Bolton, Lancashire. North West England, he was very popular a real character.

Oh now you've done it!
You've discovered our Fred.
His profession was "steeple Jack".
Originally people who built and repaired church steeples. Then when the industrial revolution began they started working on those giant chimneys.
This guy was a British legend.

I'm not afraid of heights, it's the sudden deceleration at the bottom that I find disconcerting.

R.I.P Fred , northern legend forever . What a man

Brits have the guts this comes from living through 2 world wars. Courage. Real courage.

When you first see him climbing up the chimney, you will have noticed there was also ladders on the opposite side of the chimney as well.  Fred, was the one who put the ladders up, before he was able to construct the scaffolding.  There is another video showing how it’s done.  There are lots of videos about Fred on YouTube, a very interesting man.  In later life he did multiple Series for the BBC  relating to the Industrial Revolution in the U.K. especially with the invention and development of Steam Power in Industry.

We loved this man.. may he rest in peace.   Couldn't take your eyes off the television when he was on.. followed him for years and watch everything again now on YouTube.

I grew up watching Fred Dibnah. He is a legend in the U.K. He demolished large chimneys, repaired large chimneys and ran a steam traction engine. A very interesting man.

"It pays to look after your equipment. If the ropes breaks its half a day out with the undertaker."  Wise words indeed.

That's a north west England accent; Fred is from a town called Bolton.
Fred also demolished tall chimneys; worth watching
His "engine at home" is his steam powered road going traction engine. He's made programs about that too.

I really hope someone finds some Fred Dibnah videos in about 10,000 years time

Fred Dibnah was a Great British legend, God bless him.

Fred was a legend across Lancashire  for how he worked without any form of safety, he was therefore the fastest reparer in the high risk building repair business.

Please do. Such a great reaction. Should watch him , laddering the chimney. He was and still is, our national treasure.

Fred is a legend, in the truest sense of the word. He had a genuine passion for his work and was a very down to earth guy as well.
Your reactions were priceless, great video

I love this womans attitude. She is hilarious.
