Job interviewer: what are you very good at?

Mike: yes

Dangerously addictive. That euphoric feeling after you did your first crossover turn without eating the pavement is pure ecstasy.

As an intermediate level skater, the ultimate pleasure is watching new people trying out skates and seeing how hard it was to start. And the joy of overcoming challenges.

this guy made my months worth of progress in what, 3 days? 😭

I'm an inline skater and I just love it when people try inline skaing out - it's such an addictive activity, and sadly so underrated. It also reminds me of how hard it was at first to just do a crossover or stop. At the end of the day it's just a matter of balance (which is fundamental), stretch and a lot of practice. With time, you will gain a certain confidence in your skates, which is, in my opinion, a very beautiful feeling. They will become an extension of your feet 🥰

This guy's motivation to keep going is higher than my will to live

"She's so much better than me..."

But just for now

I was an inline instructor for seven years. Worst thing you can do is fall backwards, it's easy to catch forwards but back is much harder. The trick is that when you feel yourself going, throw your arms forwards as hard as you can. The momentum will stop you falling. Flailing makes it worse. When in doubt throw forwards

honestly incredible how many things you can learn, i can’t get myself out of bed in the morning

Hey there! As a hockey player, I would tell you to not push hard when you are trying to sprint, but rather make little and fast steps until you gain enough speed. Pushing hard helps you mantain velocity, not gain it in the first place. It would be like start riding a bike with the hardest setting

I've been inline skating for 15 years now, and it's so beautiful to see someone trying it out and really giving it an honest shot. Your power slide was really impressive since that is a more advanced skill. Something you could have done that might have made the whole process a bit smoother is practice balancing on one skate (while moving). This is very helpful when going faster since you will be more comfortable with a longer stride, and it will help your balance in general. Also, I would have suggested learning to skate backwards before trying the power slide.

“Even the worst days have an ending, and the best days have a beginning.” ...

This man literally teaches us anything is possible

Mike - "I need to learn how to go faster!"
Me - panicking "NO! you need to learn how to STOP first!"

lol looks like you had a lot of fun!

respect to you for not being afraid to fail.

His girlfriend's biggest flex: ''My boyfriend can do A-NY-THING”

Fun fact : Mike uses his girlfriend against us . She magically appears in the sponsor part and she's so beautiful that we just don't skip that part . It's Mike's techniquee

I'm an expert inline skater and WOW, you picked it up fast. I was very impressed to see your powerslide. That's amazing.

As someone who taught themselves how to rollerblade at the tender age of 6, I am thoroughly enjoying this video lol.

Note: It actually translated extremely well to ice skating. Had no issue on my first try.
