sky stop is really really effective but not so many people use that, I don't know why

@vantelljlaroche 2 months ago

there is one where you basically do the t stop but also turn 180. not bad and also doable at higher speed

I really wanna learn the magic slide, I have learned powerslide, powerstop and soul.

Thanks for the Tipps in the Video.
Great muscles btw
I use the break, that came with the skates but mostly I am making slalom and a small circle at the end to stop. I skate since over 30 years BUT not often AT ALL. I play hockey with friends long ago.
I do skate better, than many guys out in the street.
And I never wasted too skate without that break. It's very effective and doesn't wear down the wheels.
BUT I only use it, if it's more or less an emergency.
Yes, I do sometimes have contact between the break and the other skate, but I feel much safer knowing, that I have that possibility of emergency breaking.

I think what it works for downhills is the safest at high speeds, so I want to learn soul slide and power slide

@MBommeli 1 year ago

Most time I do t-stop

krasse Oberschenkel. Mich würde interessieren wie man den Cuff perfekt einstellt und die Schnürsenkel sinnvoll bindet. Kann man den Cuff der HC Evos gegen einen aus Carbon tauschen ?

Trail skater mostly. I can powerslide and magic slide but too chicken to commit at any real speed. I find the drag stop and stepping plow enough for most situations if you skate defensively, dont go full send around blind corners etc. The soul slide is a great stop for those other situations when you need to stop quicker, or on steeper hills. Its like having a front brake on a bike and doesnt require full do or die commitment

Which stop do you use the most, and which is your personal favorite stop?

I find this video very useful and interesting ! It also it catches my attention that even thought he is holding a selfie stick on the video you can’t see it

Could you please make an in depth tutorial on heat molding a speed skate with an oven. I don’t think I’m doing it correctly and I feel there’s too much free space around my ankle 😭

10/10 video explanation for how to slow down and brake on speed skates, two thumbs up

Hi, I'm guessing you're using 110mm triple wheels. Aren't they a bit harder to control than 70-80mm wheels? Skating is a great freedom. You say you've been skating for 20 years, but I only started 5 months ago after putting it off for 20 years, and it's fantastic. I have trouble stopping. I just learned how to use a T-brake and I'm still working on skating on one foot. I can hold still for 3-4 seconds, but I have to constantly skating on one foot. I sometimes spin when I use a T-brake, and I like that, but I shouldn't. After 5 months of using 72mm wheels, I switched to 110mm ( I got PS NEXT) wheels. This is because the roads are rough. There's a really big difference.
