Paper machete is such an overlooked pun here.

The world's most complicated wooden sword

What’s funny is that he’s almost turning paper into what paper is made from

For some reason, seeing him remake the tip after the Sword broke and just made it into a shorter sword made me happy. Went from paper katana to paper wakizashi. Which happened a lot more often than people would think

You basically made wood

You’ve heard of “Forged in fire.” But you’re not ready for “Forged in paper.”

Breaking news: the UK is now banning the open carry of paper on its streets

Composites guy here.
-Polyester tape or 'sheathing tape' is ideal for epoxy resin molds, although most 'plastic' works, provided it can break away from whatever it is attached to.
-Not sure what the work time of that specific resin is, but I'd recommend a vacuum pot to reduce the amount of air you can clearly see in it (in the frame where you break off a piece of excess resin). It's why most industrial carbon fiber uses 'pre-preg' so it's less of a concern.
-On epoxy resin as a whole, if it tells you the cure time is something like 24 hours, it's not the total length of time before the resin has completely cured, just the amount of time before it's completely stable. Most resin takes longer to completely cure to it's final hardness (amount of time depends on total quantity and exposure of the resin).
Might also want to try other types of paper. The weight/thickness of the paper shouldn't really matter because the strength of laminate depends on layer bonding, not necessarily the strength of the material being bonded. Obviously carbon fibers have a higher tensile strength than paper, and are specifically woven and directed to make the most of their strength, but paper would be more along the lines of fiberglass in that respect.

Mike can you make a nuclear reactor for a video?

2:55 I love how he mentions how long it took to get that shot. Because I instantly thought "this had to have taken awhile. Unless he got it first try."

even yet, it still can’t beat sissors

Me, a prison inmate: "Yes. Interesting. Hmmmm, fascinating."

i remember watching this guy long ago and seeing him learning new skills he is a legend

he also always used to say (Yes Go!) when he completed the skill

Fun fact, this kind of material is pretty common in the knifemaking world under the name "Micarta", a paper or fabric matrix stabilized with hard resins.
It's used to make knife handles just like G10, carbon fiber or wood.

the resin mixed with paper is how some people make faux ivory

The random creative stuff I spent hours on in my room before failing is literally this guy’s job and I love it

I mean, he apologized for poor sword technique, but the fact that it managed to cut all that kind of makes up for it. Total flashbacks to the paper blade from fruit ninja 😂
