Yeah, I honestly think 'if he wanted to, he would' is very valuable advice when it comes to the basics of treating you with basic human decency, keeping their word, showing up for a date and not ghosting/bread crumbing etc. Not for gifting you things. I've never heard it being used in that sense, but I'm sure some women do use it that way. But it was always meant as a 'don't let him mistreat you or give you any doubts, because if he'd like and respect you, you would notice' kind of thing. And it has helped me many times to get over some asshole.

the dropping the bride in the pool video reminded me of a video where a bride and groom opened 2 champagne bottles at their reception, the bottles started spraying the liquid, and the groom immediately turned to the bride and started soaking her in champagne, spraying her face, hair, and dress. ok genuinely brad i had to take a moment of silence for this because this sounds so dramatic and like im fangirling or whatever but truly truly you’ve saved me. was in one relationship, and this guy was being horrible, pointing out my insecurities to his friend to make fun, spreading mental health stuff i told him in confidence, some pretty bad stuff and you helped me see that i don’t have to put up with that. you give me hope in times when i have none so thank you.

Men and teen guys literally feel disgusted of feminism and somehow SOMEHOW theyre SHOCKED when they see women fighting for their rights. They think NOTHING'S wrong and it's freaking disgusting.
