Hey ya'll! Today on my channel we are reacting to . Enjoy

#charlottedobre #reaction #react #reactionchannel

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

Oh Charlotte. The first story is mine. Today I sent my mom a text, uninvited her from the wedding and cut her off. Then I came to YouTube to decompress, saw your video and was floored. I was going to post an update today (which I still will), but long story short she broke an iPad over my step-dad’s head so now he’s finally gonna get divorced and we’re all gonna cut her off. But yes, crazy coincidence.

Thank you girl. So much ❤ crazy timing that you posted this today of all days but I’ll take it as a sign of good things to come.

Charlotte!!!! I’m getting married on Sunday!!! 🎉

The first one, that woman does not “feel bad” she’s being manipulative with her actions that look like remorse. We are sad when we don’t have a mom at big moments, but even if she is there, we don’t have a “mom” we have THAT woman. And we will always hope. She’s keeping her low contact so she can have access to the younger sibling, because yes the mom will forbid the sibling from contacting the OP

“Too young to choose” I was 7 years old when the judge told me to pick either my mom or dad, I cried saying I couldn’t choose. They needed to go to classes to do better as parents, and as a couple. I was too young, that’s such bs. Haven’t gotten through this story, but I hate this mom a lot.

Story 1: Honey, you are not an empath...welcome to the world of cPTSD (complex PTSD) - signed someone with cPTSD due to narc parents (where mum was the worst)

Story 1: OMG. The mom is horrific. I feel so much for OP and her dad. Honestly, it sounds like they need a restraining order against that woman.

The thing with the sister not willing to leave, it's a lot deeper than it looks. A LOT of things come into play when leaving home. the big question is "is it safe and stable to do so?". ik op said they'd support their sibling if they left, but in order to leave a dangerous home, you need to be financially stable or someone who's willing to do so. If not, not much the sibling can do until they're able to support themselves on their own. As much as it sucks, depending on the situation- a lot of the time it's better to live in a toxic home than on the streets.

8:44 As someone who has narcissistic parents, you’ll know that this mom is not actually trying to have a relationship with the daughter. She’s doing the absolute bare minimum to keep the line of communication open because she doesn’t understand why her daughter doesn’t want to talk to her, but she’s willing to do just the bare minimum of what her daughter has asked so that way she can keep weaseling her way into her daughter’s life and try to have control. What are the times it is easiest to go no contact with these people and well yes you may miss having them at the event. It’s a better decision in the long run. When you know the kind of drama they will stir up if they are involved. I’d rather miss them slightly, not being at the event, then have them at the event and wish they had been there cause they ruined it.

I'm getting married in a month! Wish me luck!

Respectfully, over time and throughout Charlotte's many videos. Charlotte seems to have some underlying childhood frustrations carried into adulthood pertaining to her mother and how shes felt she treats her. Thankfully just as seemingly apparent is Charlotte's grown up ways to have chosen to deal with it. Without creating conflict while maintaining appropriate boundaries all with Loving actions. It's a good respectable look for sure.

9:01 as someone in a similar ish relationship with my mother…. No. Don’t do it. You won’t regret it. Don’t do it. Put your mental health first. You deserve that.

@Vitavitavolk 6 hours ago

On the first story too, your mother will NEVER take accountability and change. Believe me. I've thought this for years, the "well maybe there's a chance" but all it will do it hurt you in the long run. If you go no contact, you will feel guilty, especially after having kids or getting married, but just remember how badly she hurt you and imagine her pulling the same thing on your own children. Your mother doesn't think she's in the wrong, she blames everyone else for her own mistakes and will never ever ever ever take accountability.

For the first story.

1. The sister is 19. That’s fresh out of high school
2. We’re living in the worst job market since Covid, maybe she doesn’t have a job, or maybe she makes minimum wage
3. You can’t expect her to just drop everything and move out.
4. By living with her mom, she doesn’t have to pay rent/mortgage, phone bills, electricity bills, water bills, groceries, etc.
5. Maybe she wants to get out but she’s physically stuck due to the reasons listed above

Don’t be so quick to judge someone when you’re only reading one side of the story.

Love the update from the last story. Leave the father and Mike to soak in their incompetent little stew. Her quality of life must be si much better.

@ARw275 7 hours ago

0:19 nope. Don’t even need the story.

@faythedragonborn 7 hours ago

The OP in the first story will never get an apology. She needs a mamaguard for the wedding. My momster has a best friend who is perfect in dealing with her nonsense and acts like a buffer, when she’s around I never have an issue. OP should and find someone like that, assign her to be mamaguard and make sure the momster behaves (keep her busy, distract her when she’s spiraling etc). Works like a charm ;-)

@taylorgayhart9497 4 hours ago

As somebody who has gone, no contact with a very dramatic parent, I don’t recommend a final confrontation. Honestly, the easiest thing to do is to just stop responding. And I promise you, you will find peace!

@oliviaarose1234 6 hours ago

8:00 With all due respect, no. She tried for years to get her mom to take accountability, said so herself. Her mom is hopeless, let it be what it is. I am also a recovering people pleaser who has no contact with a parent. It took YEARS of therapy and healing to get to a point where I can comfortably be no contact without the shame and guilt. He’ll still attempt contact and I simply ignore it. Because some people are incapable of change. It’s called radical acceptance, and it sounds like this person has reached that point as well. She has absolutely NO obligation to reconcile with that witch of a “mother.” Let her have a peaceful wedding with the shame and guilt of excluding an ABUSIVE parent.

@kimbernowacki1988 7 hours ago

I have a mom like this, I hate when people say it’s so easy to leave for the sister. It isn’t that easy…

@LucienSabre 7 hours ago (edited)

34:17 If the victim ((and everyone else except the prankster and his family)) doesn’t find it funny, it’s not a “prank”. It’s *bullying*. OP’s brother is a bully and their parents are enablers.
