Video Game Movies are always lambasted for being unfaithful to their source material, but I've always wondered, Is it possible to be TOO Faithful? I believe so, and I believe I found it... let's take a look at LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes Unite

Weirdly, lego batman 2 was the only "golden era" lego game i didn't play until recently, but i remember watching the movie all the time as a kid

Finally someone is talking about this movie that I watched a lot as a kid because I was too dumb to beat the game
The person who made this movie must've been a massive fan of those YouTube videos where they show all of the cutscenes

Lego Batman is easily the strongest Batman. That’s why he is the most faithful.

I will say this. The voice lines are better in the movie, and I do like all the extra scenes.

If you want the story, watch the movie. If you want the gameplay, play the game.

The best adaptations are the ones that realize every stories has flaws and attempts to fix any issues that the original story may have had without ignoring anything that made the original special

I Think its cool that TT games made a movie version of their first Lego game with a fully voice acted Original story

The most notable thing I remember from the movie was when Robin saw joker’s face in the ace chemical fire and said it was pretty cool. Then batman reminded him they’re in a burning building and GOING TO DIE.

1:50 brother, we both have the canon event of owning Lego Batman 2 on the Wii, and spending absurdly long amounts of time aiming batarangs. I got stuck on this stupid level in a cave for WEEKS 😭

I never knew the game existed as a child so this ended up as one of my favourite childhood movies :P

I have a weird thing with this movie, I watched the movie but I’ve never played the game, I don’t even know why I had the disk I just did and I only found out it was directly from the game when I watched a let’s play and was like…hold on a damn minute

It was years before I knew this was a compilation of video game cutscenes. I used to rewatch it over and over again. I thought it was some kind of short movie. I loved it so much. It's one of my favorite video game stories purely for the nostalgia. But it also is an impressive original story for a Lego game.
