i never seen someone go from completely understanding a point to completely mispresenting what they are listening to before so fast.

When Jim says "it worked" in UK and Australia, he doesn't mean it eliminated guns. He means it all but eliminated mass shootings and gun related murders

As someone who actually does live in the UK and has done for 63 years I can tell you that yes, there are some guns here, but  I have never been scared of anyone breaking in with one, of facing someone in the street with one, in fact in all my life I have literally never seen an incident involving a gun .  There are fewer than 30 deaths from firearms per year, and they are mostly criminal on criminal.
So yes there are guns in this country, but I am statistically more likely to be hit by a car than involved in a gun related crime, and I dont lay awake at night worrying about cars.

he lost you at 11:21 because you are too busy talking over the top of him😂😂😂

As an Aussie I don’t think you yanks understand that guns aren’t completely illegal here. We still have guns in Australia and the UK. We have this thing called a GUN LICENSE. You have to go through mental health checks, reason for license and a waiting period before purchasing a gun. Plus there’s different classes of guns ranging from rifles, pistols and shotguns. Only bikie gangs and underworld criminals have illegal guns, and they shoot each other, not the general public.

brother man, you got halfway and then became that 10% real quick. you went from understanding what he's saying and agreeing, even if you didnt like it. to misinterpreting everything he said for the second half of the video. its honestly fuckin astounding.

Lol the joke went waaaaaay over his head!

To explain the $34,000 joke. He explicitly said "You don't need to be a criminal" once again... "You don't NEED to be a criminal" Criminals who choose to be a criminal are of course going to get that far, but the vast majority of petty crimes are done by desperate people who are pushed to the limit. THAT is where the joke lies. If you've got $34,000 then you're not desperate for money and most people will be law-abiding citizens.

35k for a gun is like an entry level criminal deterent. poverty is the biggest driver of crime, so when someone turns to crime they likely dont have 35k for a gun

You can literally see the point where he forgot it was a comedy show 🤣 Oh and btw, as somebody who lives in the U.K., the gun ban 100% worked for what it was intended to do, stop massacres of little children in schools.

You got way too focused on something you misheard, man. He was making a point that the biggest catalyst to crime is poverty and not having money. If you save up $35k, you're not in poverty anymore and thus you don't feel the distress of wanting things you can't afford, so you wouldn't get into committing crimes. If you live(d) in poverty and began committing crimes, such as drug dealing as you gave for an example, once you're in you're in. Getting out is incredibly difficult, so of course there are people who deal drugs and easily have $35k or more. The problem is, that's their life now and they can't escape it easily.

I have never met somone miss the point so badly in such a short amount of time wow

Please trust me as a UK citizen (I'm sure your UK subscribers will back me up here) - yes there are some guns here, primarily held by members of organised crime. However, unless you're involved in either hunting or the criminal underworld, you will almost certainly not come into contact with a gun in the UK. I'm 35 yrs old and can count on one hand the number of people I've met who knows someone who owns a gun, and all of them have been rifle owners who shoot pigeons and rabbits. Strict gun control just simply works.

11:21 He didn't lose you. You lost yourself.

These Jim Jefferies Gun Control reactions are really showing the rest of the world how far gone America really is.

Just food for thought. We all know that one friend that has guns and we think they shouldn't even own a sharp spoon.

Think you're taking this a bit too literal. Of course someone with autism can buy a gun, when face to face with a seller. But you think you can just randomly walk up a street and buy a gun randomly in most countries? Without having connections and prior knowledge (and as he mentioned a lot more money). The levels you would have to go through in order to get one vs. ordering one at Walmart would make most situations like school shootings not happen (as has been proven statistically and he pointed out in part 1)

You really have no idea how the world works outside murica, huh? He's talking about trying to buy a gun in somewhere that isn't America. Sheesh. You deffo wouldn't smoke him in a debate mate. Not even closely.

9:15 he meant that it stopped the mass shootings in those countries, which it did. In Australia, they banned automatic and semi automatic guns, they didn't ban all guns. I imagine they did something similar in the UK. That's what he's talking about when he says they banned guns, just the ones that if used can lead to mass casualties.

It absolutely did work in Britain: no massacres since the ban. Sure people still get shot, just not on a stupid scale. Less death from shootings in 95 years than America has in a SINGLE MONTH.  so yes the ban worked.
