Your disgust at the tea lady officially makes you honourary Brits 😂... "I'm sure these people have kicked their dog as well." 🤣

Biggest brag of the year “there’s multiple Kettles in the family” lol

I don't even drink tea, but that was still deeply traumatising.

Here in the UK, when I was a small child in the 1970's, mum would place our boiled eggs into wooden egg cups that had painted faces on them and ears that stuck out like handles. Plus, to keep the eggs warm, small knitted hats would be gently placed on top of them. For a moment, we'd all gaze at them lovingly, then remove their hats and bash their heads in with a spoon.

Just to point out, the Americans making "British tea" were trolling. They were living in the UK at the time and so did multiple shorts of them doing British (and American) stuff in the worst way possible as a joke. It was all fun & games until they butchered that tea. They were deported not long after.

The American version of "bottle of water" is "baddle of wah-derrrr". Talk about pot calling the kettle back! 😂

We in South Africa make tea like the British do, there is NO other method, only boil water in the microwave or in a pot on the stove if and ONLY if your kettle is broken...

Never put milk in before the tea bag. Milk blocks the tea from straining from the bag.

17:15 a lovely cup of very sweet diluted milk.

I was surprised that you were as appalled by the way the American woman made a cup of tea as I was, it was criminal.

@johndownie7030 5 months ago (edited)

The way they made the tea would be a criminal offence here in the UK
That’s why a lot of brits hate Americans.

If you have a 240v circuit in your garage or something, get a 240v kettle! It'll be twice as fast as your American electric kettle.

9:43 To be fair, Brits really embraced black pepper from those trades. Most people I know put it on everything like an American would hot sauce.

You need to try Ribena. Fun fact: 90% of all the UK's blackcurrant harvest goes into making Ribena.

Not all Brits say innit - possibly THE most horrendous of abbreviations 😑

Your utter, soul-deep outrage at the way that lady abused tea is one of the most heartwarming things I have seen in a long time! And you are absolutely NOT overreacting!!

Whenever I hear an American saying Harry Potter to me I just hear “hairy potter”. And then all the way through that Prince Harry and Meghan interview I kept thinking “why is she calling him hairy?”

Talking about spices. My mother flatly refused to use garlic. She showed me her stew recipie but later I made it for her & the rest of the family. They all said but, mostly her that it was better than hers. She asked how. I simply told her, garlic mum. To her credit, she 😢 did u turn & asked me the ratio of garlic & started actually using it.
