For those just discovering the English language, "plastic silverware" is a good example of an "oxymoron".

John Barrowman and Aisling Bea were one of the best unintentional comedic double acts in the show's history! 😂

"We're werewolves, not swearwolves!" 😂

29:05 “…because they’re mankier than us.” Manky is a reasonably polite way of saying something is kinda gross.
“I left the dishes until the whole sink was a bit manky.” “I should throw out this manky-looking t-shirt”. Etc… 🇬🇧

John Barrowman pretending the shuttlecocks were Daleks is funny because he was in Doctor Who and his character was killed by a Dalek twice.

"When the floor is full, why not use the bin?" — A sign in the women's changing rooms at a sports ground.

Rassragr (the Viking insult) was a slur used against males who had been the bottom/receiver of homosexual sex (wether consented to or not). No shame was brought upon the “top” in the scenario but it was such a deep shaming that whoever was the recipient of being called rassragr was expected to fight that person to the death since not doing so was to accept the most shameful dishonour. It was essentially the f-slur used against men who had either been raped or consented to being the bottom in a homosexual act.

25:14 this was actually my introduction to British panel comedy shows. Drunk in a hotel, eating takeout, (while also maybe high, from hanging out with some locals) and The Big Fat Quiz is on, switched to it during one of the many derailings and was sold instantly.

24:51 - that's John Barrowman, he was in Dr Who and Torchwood and is very boisterous and loud in general.

That guy at 6:11 is indeed Rhys Darby. Extremely funny NZ comedian who also played a blinder in the reboot of The X-Files in about 2015. Yes, the X-Files.

The Barrowman-Bea interaction is one of my favourite moments from QI.

Saw this sign in a pizza place in Copenhagen:
"All employees must wash hands after using the bathroom. Especially Wahid."
I never ate there again.

The entire episode with John and Aisling is phenomenal. Those two were an absolutely insane pairing.

It is Rhys Darby....Have you not seen 'Flight of the Conchords'?? One of this centuries greatest comedies! (Queen Boomer would love it, loads of amazingly funny musical sequences..)

Bizarrely, both of the people (John Barrowman and Aisling Bea) playing with the shuttlecocks as if they were Daleks, have been attacked by Daleks in Doctor Who.

"Rassragr" is a Viking term for a willing "bottom"

@rikmoran3963 9 months ago

Rhys Darby is also in the recent Jumanji movies.

6:15 - that's New Zealand comedian Rhys Darby. Yes, he was the werewolf leader, and also Murray, the band's manager, in Flight of the Conchords. 24:40 - not only is John Barrowman crazy, he was also a regular on Dr Who, which is why the "Exterminate" joke went down so well!
