this has old man yells at clouds energy and im here for it

"This isn't safe." Proceeds to grab a mandolin. 🤣

Watching Andy oscillate between grumpy old man and excited little kid was incredibly entertaining

Who knew Andy being super frustrated for an entire video would be so entertaining lol

Good on Andy for considering people with disabilities for these without being told to.

Im a carer for work and at home, and the amount of seemingly dumb gadgets I see is crazy haha.

You'll find that cheese slicer in every household in the Netherlands, and it really is better for Dutch cheeses than a knife.

If you have a device that seems to do nothing but make a two-handed or dexterity based task into a simpler gross motor movement what you've found isn't a "gadget" it's an accessibility aid for disabled people.

The First Thing:
As a german we have an eggcutter which hast fine Metal Strings and then you Press your egg through the Strings to get even slices of egg.

As a German, who lived in Oz for almost a year, seeing Andy approve the "Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher" made me kinda happy 🙂
Great word btw and german language in a nutshell. Just combine as many nouns as you want and then you have an "Egg shell predetermined breaking point cause" 😂

The minced meat scooper/scraper is for softer pastes like fish and shrimp. Easier to scoop balls into a shared hot pot in the middle of the table.

As a dutchie, the cheese slicer is non-negotiable.. sliced cheese is more expensive, and you get less per plastic packaging.

The harp-like device he used on a potato is effective for slicing an hard boiled egg, if you have a purpose for thinly sliced hard boiled eggs (e.g., canapé).

I think that the first thing you used, the egg cutter, was for hard boiled, more solid eggs to make easy slices.

I got one of those choppers for beef that you're sauteeing. It actually works pretty well.

One of my favorite stupid kitchen purchases  is a garlic peeler. It's literally a silicone tube that had bumps inside it. You toss the garlic in, push down and roll it and it'll peel the garlic clove cleanly. It works great if you want to have a while, solid clove to run through a mocroplane.

18:50 - Wish we could have seen Andy trying it out. I bought one after seeing Brian Lagerstrom showcasing it and something about the design really does break up beef mince in a way a wooden spoon can't. It's a unitasker, but a damn good one.

16:24  "Looks like a medical device."
We all know what you were thinking!   😂😂😂

Pff, I almost cried at how bad that cheese slicer was; luckily, in the Netherlands, we now use much better versions that work far better than a knife for slicing cheese.

I have to absolutely disagree with the one for breaking up mince in the pan. I went through a year of pretty hectic cancer treatment last year and it’s left me quite weak and fatigued, and this has made the job of cooking so much easier for me. You just twist a little as you press it onto the mince, and it breaks it up so much quicker and easier than if you use a spatula or wooden spoon. Best couple of dollars I’ve ever spent

I tried a potato masher (also plastic) and the slots aren’t wide enough so the mince just clogged it up. I wasn’t able to find one of those old fashioned metal ones with wider slots

Just remember, some of these gadgets could mean the difference to someone with a disability being able to participate and have independence in the kitchen.

Holy fresh video. The concept of time zones has smiled on me this night.

I think the thing that's kind of a knife and a little board in one can be useful for people who don't have enough space for a cutting board (eg. in kitchenettes)
