They certainly picked the right man to show people around the sub.
Nice guy👍

I’ve watched the whole thing but I still check out the clips because dude is such a good story teller.

Not only is he speaking from personal experience, but he has excellent interpretation skills!!!!

Always cool when they get someone who actually served on the vessel to lead the tour. Gives you a genuine look inside the life and operation that you can't get any other way.

There's really nothing more magnetic than a man who knows his stuff cold, and just LOVES to tell people all about it.  Even if there's a tall tale or two mixed in, that's fine, just as long as he keeps talking!

Such a sleepy calming voice he has

I used to give Tech Tours on the Blueback many years ago. It is nice to see that they still have Qualified people giving tours.

This is what space travel looks like, but even more extreme. One day we'll be Star Trek, but we have a ways to go before then. This is our immediate future and the next stepping stone.

Mississippi native here. Really cool that sub spent the night in Pascagoula

I loved my tour on the blueback, had no idea until I went last year that we still had diesel boats into the 90s!

Wild differences (and some shocking similarities) to the Ohio class I got to tour way back in like 2008

Absolutely brilliant storytelling talking through the history and experiences at the same time fantastic video.

I feel like I could enjoy listening to this guy describe the history of mud.

The boat in Red October was the Dallas. In real life it was show from the Chicago, St Louis and Houston all stationed in San Diego at the time of filming. I was on the Chicago at the time.

The USS Haddock ball cap got my attention.  I spent my 1st class Midshipmen cruise on the Haddock.  Qualified as a Diving Officer.  Awesome experience,  but Rickover later changed my course from sub to a 22 year surface warrior career

I am certainly going to watch the full review. That was amazing

7:47  The oneway ticket topside beats a roller-coaster ride any day of the week and twice on Sundays

I'd follow this guy anywhere...

The emergency blow is interesting. I was on a sailboat going to Bermuda about 25 or 30 years ago I can't remember how long ago, but we were all experiencing a piercing hum or ringing or what it was then  suddenly within pretty close range we  saw exactly that, a submarine breaking the surface ..so I suppose it was the Sonar pinging us????

I went through the USS Cod with a buddy 8-31-2026.

Very cool!
