Edit:
Unfortunately I had to cut out the intro due to a copyright strike

I also realized I made an editing error during the Jojo part, please excuse that before I fix that

As a former fetus, we are indeed creepy-looking little guys.

dude childbirth is horror for me anyways i have a phobia of it 😭

The existential horror of being born female is something that stays with you for your entire life

All horror really stems from tragedy. If a fetus is outside the body, it is either dead or is going to die, and the death of children is always horrific

To be fair, pregnancy is the most disgusting form of real life body horror

me when born

im so shocked alien wasnt mentioned. it has heavy themes of forced impregnation and forced birth, along with the fact that everything is kinda meant to be a rape allegory.

it is kinda for that reason that its my favorite movie ever (crazy thing to follow up with but hold on), as a survivor of that kind of abuse. my biggest fear was being impregnated and forced to carry then birth a child, and i think alien captures that horror perfectly! that and also i am a massive fan of h.r. geigers artwork! i think child birth/children being depicted in horror is so fascinating because you really can go so many ways about it. great video overall!!

I got jumpscared by the thumbnail cuz the sink fetus from P.T. absolutely traumatized me when i was teenager. for a time i would have horrible nightmares about miscarrying in a toilet, and what would be looking back at me in the bowl was a bloody, fleshy mass that formed a face and it would somehow be breathing. Childbirth is beautiful, but there's something body-horror-like about unborn babies.

Not mentioning the binding of isaac should be a crime

5:49 I think the most horrifying thing about this is that she literally throws up the "baby". Her just being a teen doesn't help either. The antagonist eating it so she can be the one to birth God is also disgusting

That's why I love the Alien franchise. It uses the possible horror of childhood in a way that is equally horrific to both men AND women.

One of my mom's favorite pictures of me is an ultrasound photo. I looked like I was a classic alien 👽 she made my nursery space themed because of it.

We can also mention Edmund McMillen's work, The binding of Isaac is full of fetus refferences.
And lifecycle of Xenomorph is refference to rape and unwanted child

The baby part in Uzimaki by Junji Ito and Mouthwashing are also good depictions of horror surrounding pregnancy.

Pregnancy is inherently body horror

childbirth horrror genuinely freaks me out

GUYS WHERE ARE THE MOUTHWASHING FANS😭😭

unborn child jumpscare

and then theres horror where the entire process of pregnancy is sped up to inhumane levels and then the "baby" is some grown man or a monster

dont ask me how i know this exists
