She DID NOT come on board as a producer. She was hired ONLY as an actor. The producer thing happened during filming when she forced the filmakers to grant her that title. This was very well documented and acknowledged during the discovery process of their infamous lawsuit. None of her legal teams' entries even dispute this.

Their choice to get married on a plantation is wild, we cannot move past that

How she treated Leighton and Kjersti  and DV victims in public showed her true colours.

I don’t recall her ever being America's Sweetheart, she was a mediocre actress married to Ryan Reynolds.

Just pointing this out, so many people get it wrong. Yes Blake has fallen, but she was never the it girl, or this highly sought after actress. For over a decade she was mainly known as Ryan Renolds wife from Gossip Girl. Why does everyone exaggerate and say she was an A list? She never was!

It's worth noting that Blake only received a PGA credit for IEWU post production after she and her "dragons" bullied their way into the writing, production and editing process. It wasn't negotiated as a part of her contract from the outset.

I've been following the legal case since 2024 and I can confidently say: She didn't "come on board" as a producer of any kind. She did tons of things nobody asked her to that actually cost more money to the producing of the movie.  Then she claimed all that cr@p to the PGA and they, knew nothing better, gave it to her.

She was not signed as a producer. She did not have creative authority. She was only hired as a lead actress.

After hearing the evidence, I view BL and RR as the ones who started the smear campaign to get control of the rights to the movie and sequel. Justin had every right to protect himself by hiring a PR firm to manage the narrative online. I think the public would have been more forgiving if they saw some humanity and kindness in BL through this ordeal.

Honestly, I think most of Hollywood are actually horrible people, inside and out, but because of their carefully curated image and their fans, they're able to build an illusion.

Girl you haven't followed most of the case,  which is that Blake straight up lied to steal the rights to produce.

She was hired as an actress. She got the producer credit after the film finished ,after threats to the team.

The only reason Blake got her own cut was through threats and extortion. But her cut was awful so it ended up  being basically Justin's cut in the end. Because BLAKE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO EDIT A MOVIE!!

The press was organized by Ryan Reynolds company so that's how it got through. They bulldoze their way into things

If you read all the evidence in relation to just the smear campaign, the text in New York Times article was edited and taken out of context. The smear campaign was monitoring anything negative about Just Baldoni, posting positive articles about Baldoni, and not saying anything untrue about Blake Lively. The report crisis pr report from the wayfarer side literally says "they don't need to do anything because Lively is ruining her own reputation," and even Sony said as much in their text messages before the film was done being edited.

Also, Lively was not brought on as an actual producer, she was not hired to be anything but an actress. Her producer credit was a vanity title, often given to actors when they want to build title credits when they want to produce and direct in the future. But she was not hired to do any job that a producer would do, though she did complain and bully her way into getting it.

Her text messages with Taylor Swift shows that before production even started, she was planning to take control of the movie. Baldoni was the one with the book rights, he was the producer and director, there shouldn't have been any butting heads over creative direction.

Also, the settlement is public. Lively is the one who wanted to settle, she got nothing in the settlement, not even an admission of wrong doing.

Not Actually Golden and Little Girl Attorney are 2 YTers who can explain the legal stuff very well in short videos.

I think people not believing Blake’s sexual harassment claims is because of the instances she claimed was sexual harassment. She said the dance scene was SH. And then we saw with our own eyes what she categorized as SH. She said justin was barging in her trailer while she breastfed. And then we read she was inviting him in her trailer while she’s pumping in her texts. She claimed jamey heath’s wife birth video is porn. She said so many things that got debunked with actual evidence that we saw and read for ourselves. She has lost all credibility and good faith . People didn’t believe her for the sake of not wanting to believe a woman. It was all there laid out in front of our eyes.  We saw it and a federal judge saw it too and dismissed 10 of her 13 claims including SH.

She had been caught lying several times over. From her allegations to even her deposition. Her main claim of sexual harassment was filmed with audio , disproving what she claimed. She did not walk in the door with a PGA,  she strong armed it by writing a highly embellished email to the guild. She was hired as an actress only to then hold up production until Wayfarer and Sony capitulated to her demands. I could go on and on really. I think more research was needed before you covered this topic

I think you might want to check into some more details. The two biggest ones were that she only was given a producer credit after stalling the release and threatening to leave the movie the shelf. And it was Baldoni's edit that was voted by screening viewers as prefered and the one that got released which she also had a lot of strongly worded communication she put in writing.

Some clarifications:
1) BL essentially extorted a PGA credit using IEWU to do it. She didn't have one until after IEWU ended filming. (There is still no producer role or credit that ever warrants taking over a film from the director during their 'sacred' edit period - and who also actually owns the rights to the story/film).
2) It sounds like the cut that ended up in theaters was basically JB's cut after Sony kept making BL add back in things from JB's that received better scoring.
3) The IEWU "light & fun" marketing approach almost certainly came from Maximum Effort Marketing (aka RR/BL) - especially since his/their reaction to the backlash for tone-deaf marketing was to blame everything/everyone else except the actual dreadful marketing. RR practically suggested he and his "team" know better than people who've experienced dv, while at the same time pointing at others for driving the marketing plan... Still to this day no one has claimed responsibility for who decided on and pushed the "light & fun" stance.
4) The terms of the settlement aren't sealed. The settlement resolves all claims except for keeping the CA 47.1 'attorney's fees' law in play. It didn't give anyone money, and there's no confidentiality requirement. (It sounds like JB is planning to share his side of things at some point 'soon'.) BL/RR essentially spent $30+ million to trash their image IMO. They could've dropped the suit at any time, but instead they settled for potential attorney's fees and only when her deposition fibs would've become more public during trial. Only words coming from her not-so-truthful face hole suggest BL is/was fighting on behalf of those less powerful, but her actions throughout prove otherwise.
5) Liman actually did spell out why each of her s*xual harassment complaints wouldn't meet the threshold or be considered SH, especially in that work environment.
6) There wasn't a smear campaign towards BL... JB's team doing preventative or crisis PR for him isn't smearing someone else. No one manipulated me in how to feel about her. She did that on her own, with her own words and actions. However, there's solid evidence BL/RR were smearing JB for months, especially to powerful people in the industry (i.e., RR's texts to WME and Sony execs, Matt Damon, etc.), but RR basically buys his own headlines, so he controls the main public narrative.

As someone that has been following the case from day one via the court docket, Justin Baldoni did not create a smear campaign against BL. His crisis PR was hired only to protect his reputation which BL was trying to obliterate. Those text messages were altered to make it seem like he was.

Correction please : the PGA credit Blake got came as a result of IEWU not before she signed on to the movie. She only had the Executive Producer credit at the time she took on the role. AND a EP credit is a vanity credit, meaning it’s a title, it doesn’t give the person any authority over the making of the film.

The settlement is not sealed. It is public. It is even published. It was basically a walk away. No money exchanged, no NDAs, nothing. Just walk away
