She attended Paris Fashion Week alone, was approached by grown men, and neither of her parents was there.

For her parents, she's not a child, she's an accessory. Like a handbag or a pair of shoes that pull out of your closet once in a while, forget about them, lend them to a friend for a while...it's spooky how they treat her.

I saw a photo of her earlier this year and I genuinely was like, "wow my time perception is off, I thought she was still a kid.' Yeah, she is being raised in a way that is not healthy.

my mom has this rule where if i want a tattoo, piercing, etc, i have to map it out exactly where i want it, what design, colours, just making it super detailed. i put that in a notebook and wait a year. i can then come back and see if i still want it. i think that should be a common rule in every household seeing most of the girls my age.

What’s crazy is that I have some friends who actually don’t see the issue with how she is being put out in the media. They always say “Ive always wanted to dress like that when I was her age so it’s good to see her do it.” Like guys there’s a REASON why your parents said no.

Edit: some of you guys think that I’m saying that her style is inappropriate. Dressing emo is not inappropriate. Being put into public ADULT spaces IS Inappropriate. And the end of the day she is a child FIRST. A young impressionable girl at that. I may not agree with her fashion choices (ie the corset and most definitely the piercings) but we must remember that a child’s mind is not fully developed. She’s going to want to do adult things, wear clothes that are USUALLY seen on adults, and sometimes, you have to say no. I don’t think anyone in her circle is telling her no. There are many ways to express herself. Getting many piercings at such a young age especially facial ones is a huge decision. What if she doesn’t like them when she’s older and more mature. Then what.

What bothers me is that this isn't her parents being supportive of her choices A and artistic creativity. They're exploiting her, trying to make money off her (a tour? At thirteen?? Really??)

Another sad thing is that I think a lot of people don't have empathy for North because her parents are either disliked or hated, and she doesn't really look like a child (because she's made not to)

you know what's funny? kids these days wanted to make themselves look older so quickly and when the time they get older, they try so hard to look young again. i mean look at a lot the celebrities these days with all the cosmetic surgeries.

she wasn’t famous from the moment she was born, she was famous when she was conceived! that baby was exploited through kim’s entire pregnancy, with her carefully curating looks to highlight her pregnancy belly cause I’m not a fan of kim nor kimye but her pregnant met gala look is genuinely unforgettable so it’s proof that they both made a huge impact on the fashion world AND sadly that North was famous literally her entire life. it’s so so so sad

i wish she could just be a kid... drawing alternative clothing, writing and creating music without the public eye, mastering the skill before going out on a scene. and idk, i went to my first concert when i was 16. why is she out there...
