The American Flag gives me chills every time I see it, I’m so blessed to have such a great country to live in. I’m also a veteran and I’m proud to be one

To switch our roadway system to km alone would cost taxpayers in the trillions of dollars and 30 plus years of roadway work!  It's not worth the cost.

Sorry, but Fahrenheit makes so much more sense than celsius lol.

11: 41 I love how Nadine says"wow this is making me feel a bit homesick" you are clearly officially American Nadine😂😊

Every state, county and municipality sets their own tax rate. That's why the taxed are calculated at the point of sale

You don't need to re-educate American scientists.  While the rest of the country daily uses imperial measurements, all the scientists actually use metric.  All the US science classes teach it.  Chemistry or Physics classes are all metric here.

Britian gave us the imperial system, Fahrenheit, and US date format. Everyone here knows 32°F is freezing, just like you know 0°C is.

You can get any kind of coffee here, made any way you want it.  It's only weak if that's what you ask for or make at home.  Coffee I make is very strong.

Americans don't scratch their heads about sales tax.  It's not confusing at all.  Taxes and any fees are listed separately on everything.  It makes sense as it shows exactly what you're paying for a product or service.

It's illegal for the government to hide the sales taxes in the price. Moreover, sales taxes are controlled by each state. The  federal government only controls sales taxes on federal lands like national parks and on products which cross state lines like gasoline. If a product is sold only in Texas, the federal government doesn't get any say on the price of the item or if there are any sales taxes. The federal government only can dictate certain things in the US.

When I was in school in the 60's and 70's, saying the pledge was optional. You were encouraged to say it but if you didn't want to, nobody cared. I said it every day and meant it.

PS: If you'd been born here you would all in on the Imperial system.

The pharmacy and the store are two separate things owned by the same company. The pharmacist doesn't work for the store, plus the pharmacies have different hours of operation.

We also don't pay tax for Healthcare.  It is illegal to refuse medical care.

the drinking age is also higher here because of our car culture

I heard that in the EU you have to pay to use a bathroom that bs

Number 8 (small talk with strangers) - Very uniquely American. I hope this one stays around forever. Good for the soul.

As an American, I can say that we do not want to be like every other nation. We are a special nation and changing anything now would destroy what makes the US great. As my uncle used to say: Leaders never follow!

Ambulance bill is $1,200.00 to $2,000.00 from my town to the nearest hospital that is 30-36 miles away, the price depends on the ride and how much product they used to save your life.

UK reactors visiting the US say American coffee is so much stronger than the coffee they are used to back home in the UK.

We also use the metric system not just the imperial. I remember when I was a kid (in the 80’s) they (Government) talked about switching over to just metric but then decided against it. Guess it was going to cost too much money.
