Probably one of the greatest metal albums, period. Right in the middle of the 90s when everyone was reinventing themselves, Pantera just kept getting more brutal. Nobody in metal did what they did in the 90s.

"Suicide note part I gave me some Alice in Chains vibes. Maybe its the voice...".

Nope...it's the heroin...

Floods solo and outro are gorgeous.

The power of the riff compells you!

Pantera never made a bad song!! That’s hard to do. Trendkiller came out when I was 16. Blew my mind!!

I'm 16 and been into Pantera for about 2 years and I love how this album was a big "Fuck You" too nu-Metal, also in 1992 & 1994 with VDOP and Far Beyond Driven was another "Fuck You" to Grunge. They brought what we want to hear, heavy ass riffs and mean breaks with emotional solos. Piss off with all this rapping over dj scratches and bar chords.

It's been a year now.  Eyehategod is my shit.

I clicked so fast just to see the reaction to the first 10 seconds of the album. 💀💀

Suicide Note, Pt. 1 is the calm before the storm 😭

RIP Dime and Vinny - Pantera TX forever!

Phil was in a dark place during this album

It's dark and heavy I love it this came out when nu-metal just came out Phill was like fuck that listen to this

I know this is 2 years late but...

On tour for this album, they opened with suicide note part 1 over the PA with a giant, faded American flag with a coiled snake blocking the stage, lights glowing eerily behind it. As it transitioned into suicide note part 2, the flag fell to the stage and Phil, Dime & Rex jumped over it in full swing, riffs blaring.

Saw them do this in Hampton VA. It was... absolutely amazing. I was on the rail, Dime side. Best concert of my life.

Diss is my favorite PANTERA album from the first song to last  !  I listen to it several times a week ! It gets my mind  set right  !

They really bludgeon ya with this one. RELENTLESS. Hail kings. Those screams at the end of Suicide Note II are so full of pain.

Definitely their Heaviest album. The whole thing is nonstop, IN YOUR FACE!

I feel like rex's bass (Rex Brown/ Pantera Bassist) is extremly underrated on this album and in general his Tone is fucking Monsterous. You've got to listen to his isolated Basslines on youtube. Its fuckin crazy

ABBOTT BROTHERS WERE      LIKE BREAD  AND   BUTTER

One of the rare metal bands that progressively got heavier and darker as their discography goes on.  One of the best in the world.  Rest in peace, Dime.

I love how Dimebag djented at the end when he played at Drop G. Straight nu/death metal right there.
