This is the album that saved metal in the time of Grunge, Rap, and Metallica softening up. They had pretty much zero radio play, and their next album (Far Beyond Driven, which you reacted to) hit number one for all genres, due to the word of mouth and touring from this album. Heaviest band to have a number one album, I think.

I was 16 when Pantera released Vulgar Display Of Power. My friends and I had already deemed its' predecessor Cowboys From Hell to be a masterpiece that would forever be remembered in music history. We anxiously awaited Pantera's follow up with a restrained hope, not wanting our expectations to get so high they could never be achieved. Well...Vulgar Display Of Power finally dropped, much like an atomic bomb, surpassing our wildest imaginings and devastating everything in its' wake. One thing I especially enjoy about Vulgar is the fact that Dimebag, for the most part, left the rhythm guitars out during his solos...I mean, that's more accurate to what was experienced at Pantera's live shows. Great reaction to a great album, my friend! Keep rockin' and stay heavy! Wishing everyone peace, love, and good happiness stuff from the mountains of northeastern Alabama 🤘

I wish I could experience this album again for the first time ... having said that, it still gives me goosebumps after almost 30 years of me having it on regular rotation in the playlist.

This could possibly be the greatest metal album of all time.

Thank you! ❤🇮🇳 finally worthy company to enjoy this album with !

Best band ever . This album saved metal 🤘

My favorite Pantera album! 🤘

Got this video as a recommendation, and I'm thankful for it.  Vulgar was historic for Pantera and metal in general.  Also, the first song on this album (Mouth For War) can best be described as testosterone in music form. LOL

Best opening track on any album, ever. 🔥🔥

Favorite Pantera album. The band was at their best and the energy is unrivaled especially at the time.

Hail kings! This is a good one.

This album is literally a “VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER” 🤘🏼🤘🏼 and my favorite PANTERA album

4:00 that riff under the solo is 🔥🔥🔥

Dude just jumped right in, no introduction, no bullshit. Fuck yeah. 🤘🏻

There is a reason why i have Dimebag Darrel's silhouette with the word "DIME" tattoo'ed on my arm . dude is the greatest to ever touch a goddamn guitar, i cried when he got murdered , i was 13 at the time, im 37 right now and to this day this shit still hurts me , he didnt deserve to go out like that 😭😭😭 RIP to one of the biggest influences of my childhood. but dont sleep on Vinnie , dudes back therre blasting shotgun shells ... i saw them live last year with Phil , Rex and Zakk wylde on guitar and Charlie Benante (anthrax)  on drums .  they dedicated the entire show to Vinnie and Dime and had pictures of them up on the big screens throughout the show .

I was lucky enough to see pantera 8 times in Chicago. The fact that they are still so relevant all these years later is a true testament to how unbelievable they are.

listened to this nonstop when i was a teen :)

This album is impressive

welcome to the sound that every other band out there has been chasing
