Voting here is just like drinking water from one side of a polluted river and then switching to the other side.

@OpheliaPG 22 hours ago

I’m old enough to know that voting for either party is just another form of manufactured consent for more of the same💩policies for Americans.

17:40 Nothing will change regarding American Empire by election. They are all imperialists. If you aren't an imperialist, they won't easily let you in.

I'll agree with the host.
This midterms is just like any other election circus in the US.

Excellent interview. Thank you.

*Americans DO NOT all believe this election could remotely change anything. Only the delusional ones pick parties over people.

@Davebeehive51 20 hours ago

Nothing is going to change no matter who gets elected

Nope, American elections are just there to make American voters FEEL like they are doing something useful. You can’t vote your way out of an utterly captured, corrupt, totalitarian fascist state designed to funnel funds into the hands of an ‘elite’ oligarchy while relegating working stiffs to the status of desperate ‘wage slaves’.

Krystal says it herself: the Dems legislative agenda if they win is "not so much" but they'll hold toothless investigations into things like Minab and maybe probably not Palestine. They will be the solemn observers of all the death, destruction and suffering that they refuse to hold any sort of political line over. Policy? Forget it. The Democrats only goal is to make sure Israel never faces any kind of real consequences for its actions. Things like boycotts, divestment, and sanctions from the US government. Their only goal will be to head that off and say "sorry guys, we don't have the votes!" It's what they always do and it's what they're going to do here.

Good on Sharmine for pushing back and adding some much needed incredulity to this conversation.

Smart people are no longer mired in Democrat v Republican and Right v Left. Both parties serve the Empire. The struggle is vertical, not horizontal.

"...the ability to hold on to the possibility of change..." a true and accurate description of voting in US. It's the - Lucy Charlie Brown Football Scenario. Maybe this time a candidate will do what they promise?

Jeremy Skahill was on BP today talking about Minab school massacre as someone has already mentioned. I just want to add that the docuseries he mentions "Minab, Still" is a must watch. If you are not already an extreme antiwar person, well.... after you see it, you will be.
And, also, the Palestinians are experiencing Minab everyday.

American Politicians have absolutely no love for the American Citizen. I doubt that they actually live amongst regular American People. The Spastic American Governance System cant even identify ONE Policy that would help the majority of the population, shepherd it from conception to manifestation, and most importantly, maintain it! If you need any confirmation of my previous statement - look at how they have managed Social Security!! I love all the many shades of american citizens - and we deserve better than these spineless, forked tongue facsimiles of Public Servants!!

We should understand that Trump's policies follow Biden's, just taken to an even greater extreme. The Dems support the war against Iran; they just want a quicker "victory." They support Israel; they support ICE and the DHS; they are enablers of fascism. They are not going to save America.
