Making the luck potion to drink it and make better luck potions is giving me elder scrolls vibes.

Me enchanting nerf bullets as portkeys that go the sun

Felix Felicis takes 6 months to ripen? Oh nooo, not six months! That's... um...*remembers cheese, trees, certain beverages* yeah, nevermind.

If you saw yourself from a time turner, wouldn't you just thtink it's someone using polyjuice potion?

Pulling up to the next neighborhood snowball fight with 500 snowball portkeys that send you to Antarctica

Also regarding polyjuice potion: People must be absolutely paranoid about loosing hairs or other bodyparts. Because there will also be a black market for polyjuice of people in high places/celebs

I love the fan theory that Dumbledore used his portraits in the chocolate frog cards to spy on the Wizarding world

About the Harry's "good feeling" about going to Hagrid after drinking the luck potion:
Harry sets out to get info from Slughorn. If he went to his office, he'd have missed him and failed. How could he know, though?
Divination. It's a thing, a class even. Sure Trewlawney is really bad at teaching it, and it may be hard to do intentionally. But if there is even a little spark of divination talent in Harry, the potion could have caused that spark to give Harry an impromptu correct premonition.  Involuntary divination/clairvoyance has been established to happen, and for it happen right when Harry was about to miss Slughorn can be considered quite... lucky

If I had to guess, the Portkeys are regulated because Muggles can use them. It's not a matter of Wizard teleporting anywhere, it's that such an item presents a risk to wizardkind being discovered if they were left out somewhere, so you register them to keep track of them.

30:08 The problem with Polyjuice Potion allegedly being a potion few wizards dare to attempt is that it's required for NEWT level, meaning every Hogwarts graduate who took Potions past OWL level would have at least some experience brewing it.

Ironically, Snape probably did the wizarding world a favour requiring perfect grades for his NEWT classes, just by limiting how many people could abuse that potion.

One thing you missed is The Monster Book of Monsters. As a child it sounds fantastic and whimsical. As an adult you realize that a textbook that physically hurts you every time you open it the wrong way would discourage students from studying that subject. You could justify it as a heuristic tool to teach students to never let their guard down around critters, but really it would make more sense as a quirky creature owned by Hagrid or as an entry of the Restricted Section.

Oh no I just realized you could make grains of sand into portkeys that send the person they touch into a volcano or the bottom of the ocean 💀💀

Santa is just a muggle that got his hands on a time turner and nobody can change my mind.

52:05 Making Felix Felicis highly addictive is logical and adds that downside to it.
People get used to being successful and when they don't drink the potion they feel withdrawal with every mistake.

I always assumes that the magic portraits are basically AI chat bots. They are "programed" to act just like the real person.

The problem with using time turners as a groundhog day scenario, is that groundhog days are mental time travel, and time turners are physical time travel. There would be as many hermiones running around as there were loops, simultaneously, able to see and presumably interfere with each other (hogging the gym weights and study books, I suppose.)

It's unclear how long Groundhog Day went on, but it's an easy guess that if that loop worked the way Time Turners did, the population of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania would have been a majority Bill Murray by weight.

"Time turners are the most ridiculous thing that exists"

I dunno, Dumbledore's recruitment strategy is a contender. The fact Snape is allowed to continue being a teacher despite abusing students? Hiring Lockhart just to expose him, students' education be damned? Keeping Binns as History of Magic professor despite his methods being ineffectual?

Making a portkey that sends you to the Earth's core

Could you imagine if voldemort slipped dumbledore some love potion. Game over Voldy wins.
