John Rod did not lose aura; he took all the beating Hustle could give, and after a short pause, he was like, "Ok, let's talk" (in the animation this moment would be quite comedic )

The scale of Jojolands is crazy, we got a marine base infiltration plot line and a submarine fight all in the same arc.

And the goat Paco did the ora rush, i kneel Araki

Was not expecting a balanced and accurate take on the war on terror in a fucking manga recap

I can’t believe my boy Jodio is officially an enemy of the state

2:09 I will blow your mind more. 1000 chapter of Jojo at this rate will be on 40th year of Jojo running. It will be in December when Jojo started. 1000 chapters, 40 years later

One of the most interesting chapters so far, Charming man is my favorite seeing him back also in this spy role.. cant wait to see where this goes

John Rod will appear in Avengers Doomsday

somehow interpreted the thumbnail as suggesting longbeach is flashback man

This chapter really mirrored the US's invasion and the subsequent public reaction to Venezuela earlier this year so I think your analysis was spot on

I don't think John Rod was defeated here. I don't even think it was damaged, it looks more like it was bent but not hurt. It would have been way to bold for the cold and calculative unknown stand user to just throw his stand into the enemy right ahead knowing it can be harmed easily. John Rod could have destroyed the whole windshield yet he just entered the submarine and triggered the antenna to offer them a deal. It looks like a calculated move. Their intention was not to wipe the gang in the submarine.

Wonder who the new Prez is, doubt it can be a Valentine descendant...hope it isn't, but at the same time that'd be some generational beef😭

I wonder with it being a military stand user, if John Rod is supposed to be based off the somewhat popular science fiction weapon of tungsten rods being shot from a satellite in orbit. The kinetic bombardment idea is traditionally used in media being used by the US military or as another name being the “Rods from God” which might connect it with its angelic appearance when it first appeared. So it might be a situation like Planet Waves and it’s literally falling from space.

9:10 he honestly feels like an upgraded Pesci with his design. These guys almost feel like the part 9 version of part 5's assassin squad

I really feel like Howler is the Diego/Jobin of the part: not the main antagonist, but he's gonna be recurring, and have his own arc playing out as he weaves in and out of the main plot...

1:06 - Blessings from the earth might be the theme of this trilogy (Parts 7-9) between the corpse parts, Rokakaka, and now the Lava Rocks all being blessings from the earth.

Nah howler still the main villain this might be a Diego vs Johnny vs valentine type situation

I dont know if you remember, but Araki sonetime ago posted a picture of himself being on a US warship, Im curious if the fight against these new users or John Rod will take place there.

2:51 did you just say... HAWAII PART: II?

I absolutely love that the villain is now basically the government
