"dad do you do bad things"
"the only bad thing is defeat"

i think what's interesting about jobin is that he and josuke start at the opposite side of the family's hierarchy. Josuke is one guy they temporarely adopted while helping him figure out his identity, while jobin is the de-facto leader of the family. so in that sense, the bit at the very end of the part where the brothers ask josuke to pick the cake is the resolution of their dynamic, because josuke evolves into the head of the family and even breaks the curse, while jobin becomes so deranged in his pursuit of the fruit that he devolves into somewhat of a stranger, someone who's actions can't possibly relate to the rest of the family and end up hurting them instead.

I love that Tooru mocks kaato’s memories, but it’s her memories of the final time she talks to jobin being what gives her the resolve to risk her life to save tsurugi, realize she put him down the wrong path, and  finally walk down the right path herself.

I do like that he's end is so unremarkable, because it sorta immortalizes the guy.
He didn't went into a blaze of glory nor a massive tragedy, he just died.
It's very theater in a way, it's like his flame just naturally died down.

Another Jobin interpretation I have is that he's an extremely grounded role reversal of Jonathan and Dio, though Joshu also shares in this dynamic. Josuke, the hero in the story is the foster son, the intruder in their wealthy home trying to pursue his own goals under their noses, while Jobin is the rightful son motivated on his family's behalf, though he plays the role of the prideful remorseless antagonist (and Joshu embodies the object selfishness). However with Jojolion, the wide variety of motivations, virtues, and egotism of each character recontextualizes and blurs that entire dynamic, so that the only true evil in both of their lives was just nature and circumstance, and thus they all share the JoJo namesake as the heroes of their own story.

His writing and drip are PEAK 🫡🫡🫡🔥🔥🔥

i better see this man in eyes of heaven r

Jobin also has the most reason out of any member of the Joestar family to be more childlike, the guy had his childhood taken from him and was told that he HAD to do whatever it took to win.

Jobin was an excellent wildcard character. He sought out for ways to break the curse, but it was at the expense of others, including his own family who he was trying to save.

FACTS!! Jobin nation rise up🔥🔥‼️

Another point of the Jobin Norisuke conflict is the breaking of tradition. Norisuke is a very traditional guy and Jobin is innovative and self righteous, they love eachother as father and son but are very different. In almost every flashback and interaction they are clashing over eachothers values. From how to run the fruit parlor to how to save Tsurugi all extremes.
Why I think this is such a sticking point in their relationship is that Norisuke essentially got a tradition in the Higashikata family robbed from him.
In the flashback with his mother, we see his reaction to this tradition of sacrifice, something that has last generations to this point. This is what he got robbed of for himself, when Caato selfishly sacrificed the innocent (but mean) bully.
We know this is a striking moment for Norisuke, through all the flashbacks with him and Jobin having different viewpoints on basically anything, he is clearly upset. It even gets to a point where Jobin has to break their relationship entirely when he physically assaults him because Norisuke is willing to sacrifice himself to save Tsurugi.
Jobin has gone through this entire part, fighting  for his perceived ”right path” for it to just show his evil when he can’t accept Norisukes traditional views.

Holy paragraph…

Jobin is such a awesome character, we met a lot of characters across the entirety of jojo but he’s definitely one of the unforgettable ones.

5:56 motivated by who

It was so nice to have him in jojolion

I think the song Speed King fits Jobin's character more so with his dynamic with Caato given how the song is filled to the brim with references to other songs, just like how Jobin's philosophy is just something he took from his mother rather than being something born from his own self.

A true prince between heroes and villains.

He's one of the best characters in the series. One of the most complex and interesting characters in all of JJBA

It’s honestly crazy how Araki is still able to give us such in depth characters after all of these years, but especially when it comes to antagonists with the amount of antagonists he introduces into the series for every part. Bro is a genius.

Jobin is so well written dude i could never decide whether he was right or wrong in what he was doing and jojolion is the best part
