"What was it like wrestling Scott Hall?" "Well let me tell you about wrestling Roddy Piper and Ric Flair"

Piper being torn about attacking bret with the RingBell was a great moment.

His match with Roddy Piper was an excellent match, Davey Boy at SummerSlam for the intercontinental championship was an all time classic, a match that is still talked about today, his match with Ric Flair Bret gave it everything. Bret was a perfectionist and always wanted to have better matches with Flair.

Flair was great. Once wrestling started being broadcast globally it was harder for him as his routine for exposed. As a travelling champion who would come into a territory once a year or so he was brilliant.

Great interview. I wasn’t into wrestling by the time he became champion. I remember him in the Hart Foundation. Those were great days!

Scott Steiner also said that Flair intentionally sabotaged him by giving him a bad match

He was asked about the match with Razor and then working with Yoko and he answered by talking about completely different matches...working with Flair and then Piper.

“Bret, what’d you have for breakfast?”

“Well the thing about raccoons is they get into your garbage bins, so you gotta set traps, but I don’t wanna hurt em, so I tend to befriend them. They have hands that they actually eat with, which is nice.”

“So, uh, breakfast?”

“I once fed my buddy raccoon, Rocky, I named him Rocky, but I once fed him dog food. He didn’t really like it, and so he scratched me… so I locked him in the sharpshooter and made him tap…with those hands.”

After listening to Bret doing all these conventions and interviews, I’m convinced he hated every person while he was wrestling, except for Roddy Piper

I understand people might think that Bret was being a dick now allowing Scott hall to have a say in the match but what I’m thinking here after listening was that his decision to not listen to Scott wasn’t personal to Scott, it was probably the fact he’d had to adhere to other wrestlers not working to brets script like flair and just thinking, I need to draw the line here somewhere and manage things because the matches hadn’t been going well when he allowed others to lead. Tough one isn’t it

Interviewer asks Bret Hart x 2 about January 1993. First answer Bret goes back to September 1992. Second answer: Bret goes back to early 1992 for 10 minutes. 11 minute mark we're finally at January 1993.

Bret is not lieing about Ric Flair he does basically have the same match. Does the same moves Bret honestly is a way better wrestler then Ric Flair. Bret wrestles different with every opponent and gives you a different match with opponents, and is just a natural good technical wrestler. Where with Ric Flair he does the same routine moves flops in the corner, goes to top rope and the body slam. Bret doesn't really lie about much

No one else could relentlessly travel the territories and the schedule to make their top performers look as good/entertain the fans - compared to just putting the champion over. Flair was the one
