I truly mean it. Bret Hart is low key becoming a comedian.

This has got to be the least hostile Bret has ever been when talking about Bill Goldberg

Nash being the booker and Hogan with creative control basically being the main man running the show. And Eric Bischoff, who really didn't understand wrestling and being played by Hogan like a fiddle right in the middle of it. No wonder Bret wasn't really used and Goldberg never had a title run after Starrcade 1998. With two of the biggest wrestling politicians running the show, sabotaging other people's careers, no wonder WCW went under the way it did. If you look at the roster in 1998 and all the potential WCW had and so much stuff being hot, it is such a shame a year later WCW totally cooled off. Showing the middle finger to the fans for several years just turned fans off completely. Right at the same time when the WWF had Austin and The Rock becoming the two biggest stars in wrestling. Man, what could have been...

I don’t think Bret is bitter, I think his is passionate

When I heard Kevin Nash was left in charge of booking that told me all I needed to know.

"Let me book who I like, not what makes sense."

That steel plate under the hockey jersey bit is my favorite Brett Hart moment.

I can never get enough of Bret in any form of interview. Respect to the legend!

Wcw really sounded like a madhouse behind the scenes, and it really showed out there in the ring

Bret Hart never had a chance in WCW as long as Hogan was on top. He knew it and Vince knew it too.

I could listen to Bret all day because he’s the only guy who tells it like it is. He’s not afraid of anything. He’s not political. He truly is the best.

And Eric Bischoff says this man has ZERO sense of humor.

Eric Bischoff's podcast "83 weeks" is primarily about how great Hulk Hogan was as a human being. He takes any opportunity to make speeches about the nuances and talent of Terry Bollea. Imagine trying to pitch any idea to someone like that.

WCW had such a massive opportunity with the way bret joined the WCW and yet I barley even remembering him being there

What you have here is a guy that understood wrestling as a business and grew up as a fan/wrestling. Nash got into wrestling at 30, he was a basketball guy. Goldberg was atound 30 and a football guy that was never a fan. Eric wasnt a wretling guy, and Hogan of course was the guy that always had to be on top. Bret was dealing with guys that either didn’t understand the business and/or wanted to be cool and on top. Chris Jericho is another guy that was trained by Bret's dad, he started early, was a fan, and he has the exact same complaints as Bret. It's not hard to see what happened to WCW.

"I kind of lost my smile"

Crowd: 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@Famous_Athlete_Hashimoto 8 months ago

It's obvious Hogan was trying to keep him down. While Nash was complicit at the time, I think now he feels some guilt given how things turned out for Bret. I think if Bret had gone to Japan instead of WCW, his career would have exploded over there the way it did with Vader. He's another one who got screwed in both companies by the politics of HBK and Hogan

Irony: the second one and only moment I adored in late WCW next to this
spear segment was when Dean malenko revealed his mask (against Jericho?) and the crowd went through the roof.
