Is Bret Hart right about Triple H or is he being too harsh on The Game? 🤔

Bret Hart never minced words, as the Hitman or in real life

He's allowed to voice his opinion. At least he's honest.

Triple H was an opportunist. He knew who to align with and stay close to for him to succeed. Between that and always putting himself in the heel spot so he was able to work with all the top baby faces it all worked out in his favor.

Notice no one puts Triple H on their Mount Rushmore?

Triple H worked with the guy who drew money.

Everyone I talk to at work about wrestling always says they watched back when The Rock and Stone Cold were there. Or even The Undertaker or sometimes Mankind.

Not one time do they EVER say Triple H.

THIS.... is why i love Bret.

I am very happy to still see Bret Hart touring.
I have never seen any of his matches (during the time period he had them) and was, in fact, born during the end of his career (so I might be responsible for it, in which case - sorry!), but read his biography when I was younger and always held Hart in highest regards.
He had slip ups, but unlike other wrestlers he was always very honest about them.

YOU GUYS REMEMBER THE RAW WHEN HE WAS BASICALLY HANDED THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT FROM ERIC BISCOFF, TELLS YOU THE KIND OF BOOKING HE WAS ALLOWED TO DO FOR HIMSELF

Bret seems to understand that carrying around that bag of rocks isn't good for his soul, yet every interview he does, he empties that bag out on the table and goes through each rock one at a time.

Exactly!

One of my favorite wrestlers

Never liked Paul Levesque, he always felt like exactly what Brett's calling him out as here, a phony.

Mr. Hart is right.

No one nose revenge like Vince & Paul nose revenge

The hart foundation was awesome. Right up there with the rockers. Crazy tag team matches. Awesome moves in the ring.

All I can say abt Trip, is that it took him 30 mins to say what Rock or Austin could say in 1 min

Regardless of personal circumstances and feelings, I think Bret is right about HHH’s career. He was very solid and was a part of some great matches, typically with 3 to 4  people in total. But none of the singles matches have ever been anything incredible ever. There isn’t a single Triple H match that stands up to what Bret’s matches with Bulldog, Owen, Shawn, and Stone Cold did for the business. Triple H was a decent heel to work with the real star, but even then, none of those matches with Rock and Austin were ever as important for the business as the best work of Bret, Shawn, Undertaker, Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, or Rey Mysterio. Those were guys who had massive impact on the wrestling business in so many ways. Triple H never could have performed the perfect match and double-turn that Bret did with Austin at Wrestlemania. Never.
