A small pain in the butt, but worth it if you don't have cloth paper, is use a layer of masking tape on your sandpaper. Lots more usage. I'm working on a shotgun barrel, with some unlikeable pits external center. I'd like to go the same route here but, frankly, I'm concerned, to the point of stalled mission while my remaining braincells work on this. Caution? Wus.
