Although a fine restoration, it would be nice to explain the specific compounds you are using for each step. You are a true craftsman.

yeah that's pretty incredible. I like the idea of the clear / white epoxy as it's easier to stain / color. Great idea. Great video, as always.

What an outstanding finish Bill. I so enjoy watching you finish a stock. The way you apply your colors, and are never satisfied when most others would be .I get so much from watching your technique, and patience. Just amazing craftsmanship. But may I ask 2 questions? This is the first time I saw you use, what seemed to be a fine metal sand paper with the tung oil, reason? (I think I know). Second, what was that granular color you used with the tung oil? Just to let you know, I use your techniques on my own stocks, b4 I use them on costumer repairs. Thx Bill.

Very interesting video. I have a Reising M60 which is the semi auto version and it has the same cracks. I want to get them taken care of but you raise the question of why are they cracking?
