Here's my honest reaction (and very emotional) thoughts on Forrest Gump. This is by far the most wholesome movie I've ever seen. It left me in TEARS! I enjoyed every bit of it, and hope you like my reaction. Enjoy!

I want to say that I think your reaction on this movie was great! I think people sometimes misunderstand the concept of a reaction page. Sometimes they want you to react the way they want, “oh you missed a scene here or you don’t know this person” and some of that may be fine to say but it’s not ok to take it too far and tell someone to “shut up” or other mean things. It’s a reaction page based on your reaction so keep doing what you’re doing, you’re doing great!

@18:15 Forrest does well in the Army because he does exactly what he's told to do. And, he simply puts all his focus onto his assigned tasks, so he does them very well.

Yeah undeliverable would mean Jenny didn't receive the letters...

The movie was made in '94 but the setting if you can't tell is in the '60's when desegregation started...

Your reaction was beautiful. Ignore the rude comments. Some people are just mean. Those people actually miss the message of the beautiful movie which is kindness, patience, understanding, forgiveness, and love. These people would have probably been mean to the main characters in this movie. You are a beautiful soul. Keep going with your reactions.

That war was the Vietnam war from November 1955 to April 30, 1975

24:45 the only call of duty I ever played was while deployed in a fairly serious situation in Afghanistan.

Excellent reaction!
After the childhood sexual abuse from her father, which led to the abuse in later relationships, Jenny didn't feel worthy of love. Which is why she said you don't want to love me.
As far as the disease?
If it was AIDS, both Forrest and little Forrest would have it as well.
Hepatitis C from her intravenous use of drugs seems a more likely culprit.
And little Forrest looks about 4 years old. Forrrest had been running for about 3 and 1/2 years so I don't think he was picking up a lot of mail.

Great movie, but I'm afraid our reactor just doesn't seem to get it. She doesn't seem to understand that because the movie was made in 1994, it's not talking about the events of 1994.

I have a theory that Forrest is austic. Not quite the same thing as stupid.

And think about this: when Forrest says "you still Lieutenant Dan", there are two layers to that. At one level, its Forrest pointing out that, technically, Dan Taylor is still in the Army, so technically, he is STILL Lt. Dan. Its his face-value simplistic way of dealing with the world. But at another level he is saying, intentionally or not, that he, Forrest, respected Lt. Dan as his commander, and still DOES respect him.
