Forrest was the only man Jenny ever loved and that's why she ran to save Forrest because she thought she was poison

Yes, cleaning the floor with a toothbrush was one of the ways they enforced discipline/broke down the ego of new recruits - made them clean toilets with a toothbrush too.

Forest Gump is a fictional story set amongst actual events and people in US history from the late 1950s to the early 1990s.

There is an argument about what Jenny had.  It seemed obvious, from watching the movie, that she had HiV which progressed to Aids, but the reason for the argument is that the screen writer of the movie confirmed it was Aids, while the book states outright, that she died of hepatitis C, so do with that what you will.

19:37 O.C.S.   aka Officer Candidate School.

Essentially the drill sergeant feels Forrest is such a good soldier he wants to recommend Forrest to become an officer.

Soundtrack is 🔥.

The college rugby team...  As they would say in Greenbow County Alabama, "Well bless your heart!"

"If you're ever a shrimp boat captain, that's the day I'm an astronaut." - Lt. Dan. ... Guess what? Gary Sinise and Tom Hanks starred in Apollo 13 !

I really appreciate your thoughtful and empathetic reactions. You get that Jenny is dealing with her own demons.  She’s actually such a complicated, tragic character.  It’s absolutely heartbreaking.  She told Forrest to run, and he did, literally. But she spent her life running, metaphorically.  She always loved Forrest, but she didn’t love herself.  She always thought that she wasn’t good enough for him.  And God, it’s heart wrenching.

Lol, the implication from that clip of John Lennon is that Forrest inspired the Beatles song "Imagine", which includes the lyrics "Nothing to live or die for, and no religion too"

Wonderful reaction, thank you😊😊😊

First reaction I've seen from your channel & glad you enjoyed Forrest Gump.I take it you're from the West Country from your accent. Best wishes from Essex. 🌞📽🇬🇧🌻👍

Hi love the reaction new sub from Canada

Just found your channel due to this masterpiece. What a story. Forrest is such a pure soul & Jenny is so broken. (You do Band of Brothers & that puts you in a whole other category. That's the best series ever set to film. I'll definitely pop in to check it out.)

Hello from California. You and this video randomly popped up on my YT home page today. I would definitely come back for Band of Brothers. It is based on real people and real events and, even 26 years later, it is still considered one of the best tv series of all time, sure to bring lots of viewers.

Since no one else answered your question on running distances, here are a couple figures I came up with only a little effort on Google Maps, two calculations out of five.

Alabama to Santa Monica, California: 2200 miles
California to east coast lighthouse in state of Maine: 3100 miles

Forrest ran for 3 years and 2.5 months+. Little Forrest was four going on five years old. So it's feasible not too much time passed between Jenny learning she was pregnant/learning where Forrest was to her sending mail by post to Forrest receiving her letter.

Cool!

Most definitely a true story

I thank God this is not a true story, there is enough sadness in the world as it is.
