As a former OB nurse, Michelle's obstetric history is terrifying. Just being pregnant 19 times and not bleeding out is a miracle. Throw in a few C/S and VBACs? Yikes.

Don't know if Michelle's fake voice is more cringe than Jim Bob's geeky haircut

@goofusmaximus1482 1 year ago

If there is an upside to the Duggars, it is that their show put a big ole spotlight on their fundie religious community. What Jimbo thought was a ministry became an exposé.

9:35 the lack of sexual education is astounding

There shouldn't BE a statute of limitations for that. 3 years is a joke and and insult. The laws could be better. There COULD be more protection for these babies and prosecution for all these offenders....

Interesting how the boys get graphic design studio and the girls get a sewing room

@shellmckinney8597 1 year ago

They had to watch Josh, that's why the rooms are like that. The way the house is set up is any of the boys would have to pass Mom and Dad's room to get to the girl's room. It was all intentional after Josh's screw up.

So Michelle was feeling super vulnerable and afraid, and her friend took advantage of that to get her into her church? Not cult-y at all!

They should have remembered that their kids are a blessing instead of letting certain things happen to them, particularly to their older girls by their oldest brother.

I always wondered what Michelle was doing if she had her mother-in-law and her kids doing all the household chores and the cooking

@Elliebryt 1 year ago

My skin crawls with with the talk of how obedience is trained into the kids and the obedience game. Its terrifying what that instant obedience in the obedience game could turn into.

The moms voice seemed sweet but was actually very sinister both those parents are narcissists

Mind you, while the 4 girls were doing all the cooking and cleaning for the entire household, they were also supposed to be doing schoolwork. Considering how large the house is, how many people they were cleaning for, and that the house was expected to be cleaned daily and to a high standard, you can imagine how much time was left for school.

I think one of the reasons they had the kids sharing bedrooms was the older kids could watch the younger ones. Also, no “alone fun times” when siblings are around.

I heard that Jill was basically tricked into signing an agreement when she was a kid that cheated her out of her own money. Jim Bob told her that she signed it. She's like, no I don't know what you're talking about. Then she had an aha moment. He had given her the papers acting like it was no big deal. Will you sign this for me honey? Of course blind obedience was her priority. It didn't occur to her that her own father would take advantage of her. She didn't read the fine print on what she was signing. That's why she's having so much trouble getting all that's owed to her.

25:08 “she’s just that nurturing personality” I fcking hope so 😭 it’s her child.

I think its really interesting that the most kids the adult Dugger children have is 7 right now. Most have 3-4 kids. I doubt any will be having 19 kids.
