The Most Toxic Couple Ever on TV

Jon and Kate Gosselin are the original dumpster fire reality tv relationship. What started as a wholesome family documentary, quickly devolved into a broken marriage filled with anger and resentment. Who is to blame for the end of The Gosselins? Was it fame? Was it Kate? There are so many things to discuss when going over the Jon and Kate Plus 8 lore, including, unfortunately, a lot of serious allegations made by Collin Gosselin, Jon and Kate's son.

I love how she was the literal face of the Karen meme and Karen haircut.

If you have a low tolerance for chaos, don’t pursue a multiple birth pregnancy. I can’t think of a more destructive ambition.

The Duggar daughters had the same complaint about not getting paid because they were paid as a family and their dad took all the money.
The Duggar daughters weren't even getting paid when they had their own show. It still went to them as a family, so their dad took all the money.
The way TLC pays people is very shady.

Biblically accurate Karen

Collin's story makes me so freaking sad. I am glad John fought for him and I hope they both heal.

If not for the film crew, Kate gives off Ruby Franky Vibes. Scary to think what we DIDNT see.

A mother blaming her child for how she’s treated him says enough to me about how terrible she is as a parent. That’s too much and too horrible to even try to manage hearing as a kid and isn’t fair at all to him and all he’s gone through. I don’t have to know anything else about her parenting to know that because that’s how she frames this, she’s the fng worst.

No matter what Colin did or didn't do while in Kate's custody, she REFUSED to tell Jon or the judge where Colin was. She should have been jailed until she revealed where Colin was. She destroyed Colin's dream of becoming a Marine. Once the higher-ups found out he was institutionalized, he was kicked out of basic training before he could graduate. Absolutely UNFORGIVABLE. Kate is an evil shrew.

Jon obviously is not perfect either but there’s so much clear as day documentation of Kate’s abuse that it’s obvious who is the issue here. And the children siding with her (to me) is not evidence that she’s not the abusive one - people like her are very good at manipulating and brainwashing / or make them so afraid to cross her, it actually doesn’t surprise me at all

Having a loser as a dad vs a mom who is verbally and physically abusive is no comparison. You wouldn’t want either but rest assured the loser dad isn’t damaging you for eternity. Especially when she doesn’t seem to give a fuck about what she’s done.
And growing up in that type of environment, some of the people in your family just want to keep the peace and the more demanding parent that you are afraid of, that’s the parent you appease. Not the one who’s kind of a lazy bum, cause what’s he gonna do?

21:23 he did go to court. TLC paid for her lawyer because they wanted to be able to continue to film with them. He got an agreement where he could have 2 kids every time they visited but they never specified which kid. He was getting kids.

It’s called parental alienation. I believe Colin whole heartedly. It’s sad that Kate destroyed her family; her children’s lives. Anyone who has survived DV no matter who is going to have mental health issues. Also that’s a serious claim that John didn’t want to parent all his kids. Kate called her children a racist slur that I won’t repeat. CPS investigated Kate and after the divorce she got rid of the German Shepherd puppies because John took care of them. As I said , John has issues but Kate is an a*usive garbage person 😒

@thebigw3651 4 weeks ago

The thing we have to remember about the custody agreement is Kate had TLC money and lawyers backing her up. He didn’t want his kids on the show anymore (allegedly, according to tabloids.) so that could be a big factor.

This isnt fair... Its past midnight here and I was about to go to bed.. You just cost me 42 minutes of sleep, Amanda.

Their mom turned them against their dad and Collin. She’s a narcissist. She’ll have relationships with certain people she can control. And this is strategic. She has relationships with people to make her look like she’s not the problem. Jon has said the tlc network was behind Kate. And a lot of those stories about Jon cheating were lies

@Zebracorn46 4 weeks ago

Kate brainwashed those kids and encouraged them to remain estranged from Jon...I have absolutely no doubt.

@becky9103 4 weeks ago

The kids who stayed with Kate stayed because they have Stockholm Syndrome.

@MissDeby-Sue123 4 weeks ago

Methinks that Collin had his own mind and reminded Kate of Jon the most. As someone who, as a teen spent two years in a mental hospital, it's not an environment to send your kids to get better. It's the place you store your teen till they learn not to be a bother.
