Breaking News: Actors who surgically removed their acting ability have lost the ability to act.

Stop casting hot people in normal people roles, let normal looking people be normal.

The best actors/actresses don't just do big facial expressions, it's the small, subtle ones that sell the performance and make it most realistic, the small ones that are harder to control. That's what separates the greats. And too much plastic surgery makes it harder to move those smaller muscles, making their expressions feel more fake/ less real.

and i hate the concept of people calling it "empowering" like it's quite literally the opposite, implants and fillers aren't good for your long term health but you're willing to risk it to feed into the system that made you think that your natural features weren't good enough. obviously, this isn't a dig at the people personally because even the prettiest people you would ever see in your entire life can have body dysmorphia because social media has really effed up our perception of how real humans are supposed to naturally look. we need to touch some grass.

There was a moment in wicked where I saw it so clearly it was unavoidable, in the second movie near the end when elphaba and glinda are next to each other half-crying, and you could see cynthia's face actually creasing and the wrinkles, it gave her so much expression that i could understand the emotion she was trying to give, and then right next to her was ariana but her forehead was not moving in the slightest, so it looked like she was just frowning slightly at the prospect of elphaba sacrificing herself. It took me out of it lol

millie said something like "god forbid eleven get a little lip filler" or something on the tonight show in reponse, and it's like girl this is your job, you're playing a teenage girl in the 80s and you chose to get botox and filler before shooting the final season of this massive show. it annoys me when they respond like "it's my body i can do what i want" you sure can but that should also mean you're no longer cast in roles that the filler would distract from, or maybe any role if you literally can no longer emote properly. if celebrity is more important to you than your craft, then get the work done and lose the roles.

The Elmo behind you conveys so much more emotion than a lot of actors lately

why is it always the CONVENTIONALLY ATTRACTIVE people messing their faces up😭 like they genuinely fit all the beauty standards and still do this😕

The concept of freezing your face such an important communication tool feels asocial. Beyond the uncanny valley of it all 🙂‍↕️

not just the no filler like this strange veneer situation. I miss seeing people with real teeth. I shared something on my stories real and it had Mr. Rogers and it showed his teeth and I was just so happy to see real teeth. The video wasn’t even about his teeth. He just smiled in one of the clips and it brought me joy.

The concept of actresses from the 90s like Reese Witherspoon and Kate winslet being considered average in this timeline with all these cosmetic surgeries is blowing me because wtf man. Our beauty standards are insane now

So, I’m learning ASL this year and facial expression is very important for communication so I wonder how freeze face affects how the deaf community interpret TV and shows

It's like they just want a face and a body that looks good in photos. All those procedures make you look uncanny in person or in movement... Like it really is the phones ruining our lives. When you don't see so many pictures and filters on people you realize that there really is a wild range of what people will find beautiful in real life.

I hate watching movies and shows nowadays because as an autistic person I CANNOT tell what half these characters are feeling half the time.

I hope Emilia Clarke never gets botox. Her face is so expressive.❤

I honestly just feel bad for Millie.

She stared in Stranger Things at such a young age, she had a buzz cut and whenever she spoke in interviews everyone called her annoying.

Then next to her Sadie Sink is cast. And everyone is comparing them.

And when she developed, she's NOT FAT not even close, but she's thicker than Sadie, and everyone is still comparing them. And her character has to have this buzz cut again and she's wearing big clothes that make her look like a rectangle. And everyone is calling her annoying.

She just wanted to feel more feminine. It's easy to say "just love yourself as you are", but not so easy to do, especially with everyone having an opinion

23:31 I can’t believe Nicole Kidman is on record being proud to move her face. She’s one of the main actresses who popped in my mind as leading the facial non-movement movement.
