I love mine. Upgrading was the right decision. I have an RM2 but was always annoyed by how laggy it could be. The PURE is everything the RM2 should have been with more memory, a better writing experience and more contrast. The PURE is worth it! Now - if only they would make a Paper Pure Move version.

Would’ve bought this in an instant if it had a frontlight. Now, it’s mostly an iterative update of the R2, which is quite an ancient device at this point. Pity.

I went ahead and purchased the RM2 refurbished after it was discontinued. Just got it today and it has been great.

I bought my remarkable 2 a little under a month ago from amazon.

I was able to return it and get the pure for cheaper, and im pretty happy with that.

This is such an awesome video. I am a Scribe user 1st gen as reader 1st work scratch pad 2nd. The Paper Pure is what I would move to if I move in the future. Thank you!!!

As a Supernote Manta guy who also has the Kindle Scribe Colosoft, I would have still been interested in trying the Remarkable if it only had a frontlight, since the Manta lacks one and I would often benefit from it. Sure, it would negatively impact the paper feel and responsiveness, but many folks would presumably want it anyhow. The frontlight on the Paper Pro is/was a sad excuse for a light, though. Either it should give one some brightness, or it‘s just not worth it. (I returned my Paper Pro immediately after purchase due to the shoddy light and the flashing when marking text in color.)

As it happens, I still have my rM 1. I never bought the 2nd gen version.
But I'm pretty sure that the stylus came with it.

Surprised they didn't opt for a backlight given the competitive pressure from Kindle Scribe in that regard. Always good to see you, Brandon. I still remember you being super kind with your fans' meetup in Chicago (we didn't get to meet, but I remember you following up on the private messages).
