Colette, if you cried watching this... Its not your fault

28:15 The camera was shaking because the cameraman laughed his ass off. This scene was improvised by Robin Williams and nobody on the set was prepared for it.

This was Robin Williams very best performance of his career. A well deserved Oscar

Worked with Robin on 3 films and he is this 100 percent. He knew me by name and always joyfully greeted me again. I love him 3000!

Matt Damon and Ben Afflect wrote this screenplay at 21. It won an Oscar for best Screenplay and Robin Williams won the Oscar for best supporting actor that year.

“Eat the food out of my mouth or we’re not a match!” - Colette Cherry 😂😂😂

This movie is a masterpiece. I am so happy you got to see it for the first time.🍎🍏💐

Ever since I watched this movie Ive started going to schools solving math problems, my local elementary school was so impressed they asked me back.

This movie got Robin Williams his 4th Oscar nomination (first in Supporting Actor) and his only ever win.

As someone who was brought up in foster care from the age of 2 and later adopted, this movie resonates so well with me it's incredibly powerful. Unfortunately, I  lost the girl but I'm so happy for how things turned out for her and always wished her the best. First time I watched this movie it broke me, I needed it.
Amazing reaction Colette, you have such a pure soul ❤️

I will be 63 in less than a month. When this came out I was stuck in a north Atlanta hotel for a week for classes from IBM for work.  The cinema was withing and walking distance.  I semi randomly picked this movie. Changed my life.

A lot of Robin Williams' dialog was improvised.  Matt Damon attributes much of the film's success and its overall quality to Robin.  He elevated the screenplay.

Williams was superb in "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Dead Poets Society," and "The Fisher King" as well.

Chuckie is the friend not everyone gets. He's as real and perfect as you can be. Ready to throw hands and defend you and ready to tell you when you're being full of it and you need to reevaluate.

When I watch Robin Williams, even in a movie like Jumanji, I cry too. As a 38 year old, he was such a big icon in my lifetime. There was comfort in him. BTW, you're a stunner, but I admire that even though you could have any guy, you're genuinely looking for what's in the heart. We wish there was more like you. Believe that.

some people don't understand that when someone from Boston says "wicked" it literally just means "very". sometimes people think it's like the 80s slang version where it means cool or radical but nah.

just say wicked smart instead of very smart

Nerdy is a keeper. The racing scene was filmed at Suffolk Downs in East Boston which had been Greyhound racing for 84 years. It closed in 2019 and demolished. It is being redeveloped into a mostly new residential area. Also notable is that the Beatles played one of their last concerts there on August 12th, 1966.

Robin Williams first monologue was done in three takes. His delivery was so good they used the first.

This is such a good movie. I loved the scene in the park where Robin's character tells Will that just because he read about something in a book it's not the same as actually experiencing it in life. I also loved the scene at the end where he tells Will it's not his fault. Good writing here that touches your soul.

"Awakenings", another great Robin Williams movie.
