In this Video I break down a EDH / Commander Budget Deck List / deck tech I made for a discord member for Ognis, the Dragon's Lash. The deck has many overlapping themes and synergies. Including mono-red devotion, treasure synergy, haste synergy and non-basic land hate. All for a budget of $150 USD.

You can find the Deck List here: https://moxfield.com/decks/ZbPQVZbjOk...

Very cool deck. I love the idea of just being "Aw dang, I guess I gotta play ANOTHER mountain" the first few turns you play this

The only issue with the defiler series is that they only work for one pip in a cost, so you can't pay 6 life for something with 3 pips.

Nothing could have prepared me for shadow the hedgehog

I came here as fast as I could and am extremely happy to see Ognis.

Defilers only turn a single pip cost into 2 life, not each.

4:12 alright this is interesting- IS THAT SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG!!!

2:25 Not for nothing, but the way you do the animation implies that the Defilers can reduce the cost by more than one, which they cannot.

Love the deck tech, and I got caught with this one too with my mono black deck. The defilers can only be used once per cast. Whereas something like k’rrik can be used multiple times. Still does some good mana reduction though!

you know mostly i dont understand why i couldnt just make all my decks with my printer, like that already seems cheaper than actually buying any card except Lands

The only thing that bothers me is that you can't play vihaan in this deck

I love the triple hybrid color legends from New Capenna. I have made several triple devotion decks, my favorite one being Jinnie Fay. Looking forward to your other brew. I will definitely be saving this deck to play it with my friends.

NICE DECK
(Shadow the Hedgehog meme)

But also nice deck

Very cool deck! Also, it's really nice that you don't open shit on proxies or players that use/make proxies. Obviously I'd never use them at official games or for resell, but as a hobbyist, I appreciate that you don't look down on people for wanting to "try the thing" without having to dump a ton of $$ into it.
