Alright everyone start this at .25 speed in honor of Jeff

According to the DVD commentary, Leigh Whannell said that when writing the brain surgery scene, he called an actual doctor and asked what kind of power tools would be useful in a DIY surgery like that.  And the doctor was like, "This is for a movie right?"

Saw 3's cop plot is Saw 4

16:19 “I can’t let the cops seem less racist than me” is FRYING ME

23:42 3 is when Amanda realises that surviving the Reverse Bear Trap hasn't made her life any better. Only left her traumatised since she went from taking drugs to cutting herself. She felt guilty for leaving Adam to die in the bathroom so she goes in there and suffocates him as a mercy. And John's philosophy being bullshit really sets in for her and that all his talk of rehabilitation and cherishing lives are just excuses to torture and kill people. Her inescapable traps are her twisted idea of mercy killings so they don't end up in the state she's in after surviving.

hahaha I love how they're all like "I wonder if we could rip our jaws out", but when the possibility of taking a tooth out is mentioned they'te like "ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT EVER"

The fact that Graessle hits 3/3 when it comes to what happens with the Saw series going forward is extremely impressive.

The acting in saw is unbelievably slept on. The "worst" actor in the saw franchise could still play a very solid side character in almost any other horror movie.

"Handicap parking at the DAMN MALL! LOOK AT MY ARM"

The big problem is Jeff has to re-find his conscience at each trap instead of just remembering how he felt 5 seconds ago as he let the previous person die.

After all 10 episodes of this are done can we please get a very special episode of Horror Survivor hosted by John Cramer himself, to cap off Hot Saw Summer! Chelsie can make her own traps and games, James can do his Jigsaw voice, it would be so iconic!

Lynn couldn’t win. She lost her son, her husband is Jeff, she’s in a high stress career, she’s depressed, etc. She didn’t deserve anything she got.

When I worked at a deli, I had a co worker named Jeff who was consistently late, took long breaks, and everything he did took a little extra time.

So he very quickly became SAMF Jeff.

Jigsaw’s apprentices are all just his weird adult kids and this movie is Amanda’s rebellious teen phase.

30:49 i need someone to animate Conservative Jigsaw so bad. james and chelsea’s jigsaw voices are hilarious lmao

Amanda killing Adam is 100% a mercy kill, she’s in tears during the whole thing and believes she is doing it to spare him the pain of staving to death. I highly recommend the Saw 3 Directors Cut, it has a commentary with Leigh (alone) which is a fascinating listen but (best of all) it has a commentary with Shawnee and Tobin and that is an incredible listen as you really get to see the depth they went into to expand the relationship beyond what was in the script. It also details an argument Shawnee had with Darren where he wanted her to pull out the gun earlier in the film and she refused, stating that if Amanda pulled the gun, she’d use it so the compromise was Amanda reached for it, but didn’t pull it.

EDITING GRAESSLES GUESSES OVER THE TOP OF THE AUDIO WAS CHEFS KISS

I'd like to see a ranking of the legitimacy of each victim's offense. Like one guy is in a trap because he called in sick to work but he wasn't.

25:00 man, RIP Brian Wilson. I know they didn’t love The Beach Boys but that was a brutal loss this year

Let's fucking goooooo! Slowly.

I am already LOVING this series. Hearing Jamea and Chelsea talk about movies is already just so amazing, but talking about SAW? I'm in heaven. Plus that SAMFJ is just so damn iconic!
