*SORRY FOR THE VIDEO QUALITY*
Hey gang, I'm a dummy and I recorded the wrong screen during this live so our video quality is sort of poop, BUT, this was too much fun not to share.
I promise I'll do better in the future! (This is basically my catchphrase at this point, lol!)

Cheers y'all!

"There comes a time, thief, when the jewels cease to sparkle, when the gold loses its luster, when the throne room becomes a prison, and all that is left is a father’s love for his child." - That's some good dialog there.

I've said it elsewhere but I'll say it here. Conan's mother is painfully beautiful, and I forget it every time.

The "crush your enemies" line is a paraphrased quote from Gengis Khan.

"The Greatest Happiness is to scatter your enemy and drive him before you. To see his cities reduced to ashes. To see those who love him shrouded and in tears. And to gather to your bosom his wives and daughters."

This movie is a work of art.

"Safeword! Safeword!"

The correct response to a succubus attack

They couldn't find the right actor for the archer, so the director just said "my old surfer buddy would be perfect for this", and they brought him in for the movie. Gerry Lopez. Never did any acting, but he nailed it.

Not gonna lie, when Valeria came back as a Valkyrie, I choked up. She kept her promise to come back and fight at his side.

The score to this is PHENOMENAL. Composed by one of my favourites, Basil Poledouris. Who also did the score to RoboCop. One of the greats that always elevated films with his work.

Every man wants a friend like Subatai and woman like Valeria..a real ride or die..a man could only be so lucky.

I was raised on three movies: this, Aliens, and Hot Shots 2. This is an absolute goddamn classic, Basil Poledouris doesn't get nearly the appreciation he should after this soundtrack, and it's one of Arnold's best ever movies specifically because he doesn't need to talk much in it. He's a shockingly good silent actor.

Conan! What is best in life? -- To crush your enemies -- See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!
Milius actually lifted it from a book by Harlod Lamb titled, GENGHIS KAHN: THE EMPEROR OF ALL MEN...
One day in the pavilion at Karakorum he [Genghis Kahn] asked an officer of the Mongol guard what, in all the world, could bring the greatest happiness.
"The open steppe, a clear day, and a swift horse under you," responded the officer after a little thought, "and a falcon on your wrist to start up hares."
"Nay," responded the Kahn, "to crush your enemies, to see them fall at your feet -- to take their horses and goods and hear the lamentation of their women. That is best."

Best soundtrack in movie history IMO.💥

Between the times the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Ariyas, there was an age undreamed of, and unto this Conan, whom
will wear the crown of Acqilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, whom alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure.

Max von Sydow can add a touch of class in every movie he appeared.

You guys really cracked me up in this one, lost it when Matt said Soylent soup, nearly blew beer out my nose. :)

I got into trouble as a wean for quoting this film in school, my teacher had no sense of humour and gave me a 15 minute lecture on how a 6year old shouldn't be watching films like Conan (yet she was weirdly ok with telling us stories from the bible😂)

You got to see Conan The Destroyer. That film is the most D&D film ever made. Wizard, fighter, seudo paladin, thief, bandit (Grace Jones), princess forms a party and goes on an adventure. Yeah, it's pretty much a D&D campaign and a personal favorite of mine.
