One of the best soundtracks of all time!

"Put some clothes on! I can't use this footage!" Funniest thing I've heard today!

The sword thats broken in the burial ground scene before the end is Conans dads sword. He breaks the sword he was basically tied to.

I love this movie!!! You gotta do more of his movies if you haven’t seen them.

"You gotta do stuff to me first." Totally deadpan. 😂😂😂

James Earl Jones baby!

Wow I have never seen this but now I love it lol❤❤❤

Conan is on Earth. After the fall of Atlantis and before recorded history. A time when ancient forgotten thing's like magic, monsters, and weird technology were disappearing.  The Robert Howard stories are friggin awesome. Check them out.

Film facts: Arnold had to lean out to do this film, whereas Momoa had to bulk up!
-The name of the soup was "split pea and HAND".
-There was a franchise planned for Conan, like the Bond movies but after the sequel and Red Sonja under performed, it was scuttled.
-The scene where Conan is drunk, was almost cut because the producer thought it lessened him but the director won out and it was kept in.
-The swordmaster was the actual sword instructor for the movie.
-The woman that is given to Conan was a pornstar who didn't know anything about the scene, that was to be filmed. Her reaction to seeing Arnold was genuine because that was the first time she saw him.

Both Thulsa Doom and Conan's father are wrong.
The strongest of steel will rust, the strongest of flesh will rot but the strongest of wills lasts forever.

Also... Conan commits a huge blasphemy by praying to Crom for something.
You don't ask crom for things, you thank him for the gift he's given you.
Crom answers Conan prayer but makes him pay for it, for the rest of his life... And he's gonna live for a long time.

Watched this with my Dad when it came out.  It was awesome on the theater big screen.

The snake tower music is medieval music from Spain. Cantiga 166

My favorite Arnold movies are:
Terminator 1 and 2
Kindergarten Cop
Expendables (all of them)
Total Recall
Predator
Collateral Damage
Heck, all of them.😂💛

F*¢k YEAH I wanna watch Conan the Barbarian!! Thank you soooo much, guys!! Love you two - You're smart & funny!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Awesome reaction you two and I hope watch the sequel.

I just don't understand WHY there weren't more of these CONAN films.
it's true that the sequel was weak tea, BUT it could have been re-imagined, when you see the great Conan art work on the covers of the novels & comics, there are so many different terrains - deserts, derelict jungles etc, also ugly giants Dragon's, demon's etc Conan  was even a Pirate at one point plenty of source material

Nobody EVER notices the thing that Conan is reacting to that made him back into the camel and punch it.
There was a guy in the cut having relations with a Llama. Go back and watch it

Everyone loves a slinky. 👏👏👏👏

No "McGuffin".  It's a simple story of revenge and justice, yet an interesting study in how life can mould us and motivate us to survive (ie, Nietzsche's quote at the start of the movie-- "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.")
The sequel is a different sort of movie. I very much enjoy it. It explores a more literary connection to Robert E Howard's novel and pulp magazine stories and his use of Cthulu-inspired baddies. Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft developed a friendship through correspondence, and Howard was given permission to use Lovecraft's creatures and demi-gods and gods in his Conan series.

Still stands up (even with the dodgy spirit vfx) as one of the best sword and sorcery movies ever made.  Milius took the making of the movie seriously - with a small touch of lightheartedness in places but never campy - and this is why it stands up.  That and a first class score and that it's a masterclass in telling a story without the need for a huge amount of dialogue or patronising exposition.  If only we could get as much attention to the storytelling, look and feel of modern sword and sorcery movies.
