Bless him, Dermot Morgan, Father Ted himself actually did die of a heart attack in 1998, 2 years after this, at the age of 47.RIP Dermot.

Yes, Father Ted is an Irish sitcom. Do watch it is very funny

The funniest bit happens a few minutes later at the same window 😂😂

The catholic church hated him for this sitcom and spoke openly about their displeasure for him making fun of the church. He was am amazing artist and years after his death, people are still laughing and enjoying the show. He did well and will never be forgotten.

"Father Ted" is actually a sitcom, set on an Irish island, and this is just one small scene in an episode. Basically its also proving how quickly NEWS travels FAST in a small community... LOL  You need to watch whole episodes to apprecate the 'story lines' and humour. 😃👍

They live on a very small island where news travels fast!

They’re basically taking the piss out of how stupid racism is. The full episode is hilarious, it just gets worse as it goes on 😂

My favorite comedy series ever, because it poked fun at the world and just gives your mind a holiday for 30 minutes.

“How did you get interested in that type of thing?” - as if it’s some sort of acceptable pastime people have varying degrees of interest in.

Only an Irish person would put that line in there, such an enquiry 😂😅😂

Its one of the best TV series ever, along with Red Dwarf.

After nearly 30 years  'Father Ted' remains one of the greatest sitcoms of all times. One of the crucial points to its comedy is that Craggy Island is supposed to be a tiny island off the West Coast of Ireland. That this obscure place has its own China Town is, in itself, hilarious. This particular episode goes off into all sorts of racist-themed directions, all resulting in the utter exposure and humiliation of racism through brilliant and very clever writing, fantastic acting and some genuinely disturbing sets! You should look forward very much to meeting Father Jack 😮😅❤

Thats how fast gossip gets around in a small community!

The comedic delivery of all of these lines is perfect.

Nooooo they way he said “he’s having a heart attack” and we brits knowing that’s how the actor passed away RIP father

The joke really is that Father Ted basically lives in a field on a small island. Nobody ever wanders past the windows ever, let alone a group of Chinese at the worst moment.

Living in a very small village in Ireland, any gossip would have been circulated around the island in minutes.  Everyone knows everyone else’s business.

Father Ted makes all the more sense when you've been brought up Catholic 💙❤️

I think this kind of comedy just shows how silly racism is.
They did a wonderful job.

My favorite episode is when he and his cohorts are in the lingerie department looking for a Christmas gift for his housekeeper.

I hope you watched THE WHOLE episode. this particular episode is  top tier a comedy of errors and it is of same vein/calibre of Blazing saddles.
