Fun fact. Perth is older than Melbourne but not as old as Brisbane. Most isolated Capital city, not the most isolated city.

I emigrated from liverpool uk forty years ago ,watching your video made me tear up realising how utterly and totally i love perth and its people, still have major affection for Liverpool but Perth has my heart ❤️

I’m 56, my family moved from Manchester to Perth when I was 4. I grew up in Perth but have since lived throughout Australia and overseas,I’m now retired and back home in Perth. It’s not for everyone but I think it’s the best. Without a doubt a Re Store roll is the bomb, great choice, enjoy your stay and stay safe.

I used to live in Perth. Beautiful city. Hope you make it to Cottesloe to watch the sun go down over the ocean. We stayed on Rotto one weekend. The Quokkas came in the unit for a feed. Cute little fellas.

I have a bit of a funny story about the Perth and birds. So I am initially a Sydney city girl but have lived at some time all over Australia. During the initial part of Covid we moved (who thought then that Covid would last so long) and lived in the UK for 3 years. Due to my ill health we had to come home (medical wasn't great in UK because of Covid and NHS was struggling). You get a bit sookie when you're sick and I was incredibly home sick and what I missed in the UK the most was the sound of birds. Doesn't matter where you live in Australia whether the only birds are magpies there is always the sound of birdsong. So we move to South Perth (never had been in Perth) river front, next to the park. 5 O'clock in the morning, every morning, there were at least 100 cockatoos screeching next to my bedroom windows. Be careful what you wish for!!

49:30 Looks like that was a red-tail black cockatoo! We get them a lot also. At a certain time of year, when some of the trees and bottlebrush bushes come into bloom, my front yard becomes overrun with them, and I have to be careful driving my car into the driveway because they're everywhere!! Hahahaha! Welcome to Perthxx

Perthite here, emigrated as a kid in 1981 from Edinburgh.... From the 1940's to early 1990's we had everyone arrive here, from Italians, Greeks, folks from Macedonia, huge UK & Asian population here too! Perth is a huge melting pot of different nationalities. We have the best beaches and sunsets. So the best "Conti Roll" in Perth is the RE-Store. I was hoping thats where you were going. The "Conti " roll is birthed from the Italian / European influence. We also have awesome seafood. Perth is an awesome city to have a family. Hope you enjoyed your stay!. ☺

The 'sandwiches', are what we call rolls. The paper is rolled in a way that if you break through the top, the one with only a single sheet of paper so you can tear the paper down as you eat your sandwich.

wasnt a fan myself but a friends kids would watch neighbours every night.
i thought it was pretty funny when ever a character was written outa the show they were always banished to perth, exiled.
