A Tim Tam slam, if you must do it, is done using hot coffee, or, if you're so inclined, hot tea. Not milk. And Tim Tams are biscuits not cookies.

Australia has every single type of landscape and climate. Yes visit the cities but get out into nature. This video portrayed that perfectly.

Greggo, you would love Australia.

This video really captures the serenity and peace that exists in Australia outside of the big cities.

Tia and Cheveyo are back in Australia at the moment, going to the cardinal points.

Inside TimTam is a chocolate biscuit - cookie, and slam with hot coffee is the go. The spirit of this great land sneeks into your soul

We love when others feel the awe and appreciation we have for this beautiful ancient land.

So, 1st time they came to AUS, they purchased a Mazda 4 door standard sedan (a number of years old) & drove it around Australia - they raved about the fuel economy, comfort of the car etc - because of flooding between Darwin & Western Australia, they couldn't complete the trip around, so came down the middle from Darwin.
When they announced they were heading back to "finish the circuit" a big boss from Mazda Australia reached out & offered them the use of a brand new Mazda BT50 4 wheel drive utility - all they needed to do was talk about the mileage, comfort, use, useability whenever they filled up on fuel or the terrain needed a 4 wheel drive - after circling Australia, they arrived in Melbourne & swapped the BT50 for a new Mazda 6 (standard sedan.) to do Tassie.
When they announced their 3rs trip - Mazda again reached out & provided them with the top of the range Mazda BT 50 "Thunder."

• The Jack Hills region in Western Australia contains microscopic zircon crystals.
• Age: These tiny crystals have been radiometrically dated to approximately 4.4 billion years old.
• Comparison to the Moon: Lunar samples brought back by Apollo missions show that the Moon solidified roughly 4.3 to 4.4 billion years ago.

Followed them for years. They'll be back in Perth soon.
They can stay, theyre our kind of people.

Greg, if you enjoy spending time in nature you're going to fall in love with Australia. Sorry to Hawaii, but Australia is going to kick your butt.
I've been a keen bushwalker all my life. I'm 63. As they said in the video, there is definitely a kind of magic here. A feeling of being connected to ancient time through the land. I feel very privileged to have been born in this vast, beautiful place. Wide open spaces. Amazing wildlife. Tropical rainforests to alpine snowfields to rust-red plains. And everything in between. The Great Southern Land. Be very careful. If you come here you may not want to leave.

Danetree rain forest is the oldest forest at approx 2.5 billion years. It was a forest when the continents were joined together known as Pangea. The forest that broke away from that super continent became noth east australia.

Make sure you plan and save for an EXTENDED visit. Anything less than a month is a waste of your time. Most people only do a long trip to Australia once, so if thats the case, make it worth it

Tia and Cheveyo are currently back in Oz, driving to all the further most points of the compass. Mazda Australia kindly loaned them a Mazda BT50 for the trip, as they did in this video. I've been following One Pack Wanderers for a couple of years now, and this is their third trip here, and you're welcome here anytime Greggo.

Great reaction Greggo! I love your reactions.

Running out of fuel is a problem the unprepared discover, then they’re stranded until another vehicle comes along who’s much better prepared than them and saves their butts!  Do not venture into the outback without being prepared for every possibility, even if you carry extra fuel on board that’s safe from overheating etc., plus water, food, matches, lights, first aid kit, and a heightened awareness of the wildlife around you, with knowledge of what to avoid, when to return to your vehicle snd when it’s safe to pitch a two person tent, making sure the bottom is sealed from creatures crawling into the tent with you. It’s all about preparedness, prevention and safety.

27:03 The reason for the penguin statue was that they were in the town of Penguin in Tasmania.

Hey Greg, you ought to make the trip down for a visit you will love our country. I love your enthusiasm and joy which absolutely shines through. I hope you can make and get see it for your self

It's the middle of winter in the tropics. The tropics are not cold. But it snows in Australia and there is a lot of cold in winter in many places. However, this year was a particularly mild winter.

I went from Perth to Darwin by Greyhound bus, which travelled continuousky day and night (switching drivers along the way and only stopping for meals). Took one full day, night, and by next afternoon I got off at Broome (still in same state) for a rest overnight and next day.  Caught bus again, travelled all day to Katherine, Northern Territory,  then to Darwin by almost nightfall.  Worst stretch was Port Hedland to Broome.. hours of nothing to see!
