The taxi did not charge random fees. 16 yuan was the price of the taxi's own meter, which was the normal market price for this section of the road. 25 yuan was the price automatically calculated by the Didi online car-hailing platform. Taxi drivers have no way to interfere with the price of the online platform. The extra money was a surcharge for the severe weather at the time of the typhoon.

I was in China in 1996 & lived in Hong Kong from 1993-1997. OMG I’m shocked by the development in 20 years it’s incredible. Back then it was 3rd world, very poor & no infrastructure, high speed trains or high rise buildings. How have they done it in such a short time ?The Great Wall could only be climbed, no gondolas or carts. It was simple & beautiful

This means the government is in the process of negotiating property purchases with local residents. Before long, everyone you’ve seen there will likely become a millionaire. And don’t ask how I know this—I’m lying on a beach in the Gold Coast, enjoying life.

I’m glad that you’ve an amazing journey in China!  Everyone in China treated you nice!  No one shout at you and ask you to go back to your country, you’re lucky.  I don’t understand why when Chinese people go to other country like America, Canada or UK, some of the local people treated Chinese impolitely and kind of hate them. Of course most of the foreigners are nice.

Thanks for the video! Those red banners in that community, Zhangjianong, show the community is about to be acquired(most likely will be demolished to make room for some high-rise condos). I just googled the compensation price for that community, and it seems those residents could get as high as 20 million RMB (~3 million USD), lucky guys

That Food looked like some of the best stuff I have seen you eat on the channel mate! Looked so GOOD!
