Hi Ben, I am from Myanmar .   Also  i am one of your fan that always watched your travel vlog and please let me explain a little about the festival that you had seen at the Monastery ( Dala , the other side of Yangon  City )  . In Myanmar , we have a festival in the month of November ,  name is '' Tasaung Taing  ( celebrated as a national holiday in Myanmar) '' that means  people are offering some things ( Kāṣāya , soap , cash , etc) and meals  to the monastery so when you seen at the monastery was the people there are preparing  meals for guests and monks for this "Tasaung Taing Festival ".

I live in Myanmar. Yemen, Afghanistan etc. are clearly far more dangerous than Yangon.

As your Chinese fan, follow your footsteps and embark on a new journey. Although Yangon is not very wealthy, I was moved by the friendliness and smiles of the people. I will visit this country sometime in the future. Time is like a song, and the footprints of travelers will always lead others forward.

I was just in Myanmar for 2 weeks for work. I got back home to the US yesterday. We must have been there at the same time. I stayed at the Melia Hotel. It was really nice and I can highly recommend it.

The whole video was an eye opener. We hear about Myanmar being one of the world's most repressive countries, but ordinary people there are able to enjoy life and be friendly and cheerful.
