Eagles .. voices that harmonize perfectly and instrumental perfection from every member of the band

All melodic guitar parts for this song were written by Don Felder, who is on the double neck guitar here. Felder and Walsh were friends, who challenged each other and worked out that duet ahead of time. Fray and Henley (mostly) wrote the lyrics. Meisner’s expert bass rounded out the music. The result is pure magic!

Usually I'm not a big fan of live performances, especially for first-time listens and reactions to a new song. (I know this particular one isn't a first-time reaction btw) But the Eagles are an exception because they sound just like the record live, and I honestly don't think a reactor misses anything by hearing their songs that way. They are just incredible live, from top to bottom.

Amazing performance of this classic. Love your appreciation of great musicianship and ability to admire the skill of every member in the band. Thanks for all the videos and Happy Holidays!

They are all so talented… all can be lead singers and they all can play multiple instruments. They say if you write it… you sing it! Great band & great memories!

This was the song that made me fall in love with guitars as a little girl. ❤

I've been playing guitar for almost 50 years, and it does my heart good to hear a younger player say they prefer the tasteful playing over shredders. All too often the shredders will get the attention, but players like Brian May from Queen, or Alex Lifeson from Rush get overlooked when they talk "the best". Nice reaction. 👍🎸
