I just looked up Anton Rodgers. He was married to Elizabeth Bennett! He married Elizabeth Garvie who played Lizzie in the 1980 adaptation.

I always thought Hester was a very attractive woman.

Seemed odd we only saw the son inlaw and not their daughter all this time.

The life of alcoholic dullards with added canned laughter.  Always hated this as a teen, and rewatching this now i can see why.
