the fact that i thought this was the whole show recap but in reality so much shit happened in just s1 is crazy 😭

i could not stand brandon when i watched this show, and callie’s self sabotage was STRESSFUL.

One thing that bothered me about this show is that Callie and Jesus rarely interact. I think I’ve only see them talk maybe like 3 times

My beef with Brandon is still alive and well

if brandon has no haters i'm dead

I keep forgetting that this show is real and not just some fever dream I had at 10 years old 😭

I am glad I wasn't the only one that thought Brandon was weird. I remember live tweeting when this was on air and people just hating on me when I mentioned I didn't like Brandon or Brallie.

the way i was obsesseddddd with this show and it felt like no one else was!! it was so insanely underappreciated but im hype to watch all 3 hours of this and relive it all again

As a girl in foster care who physically developed early i cannot emphasize enough how much i fucking hate the trope of a foster kid being hypersexual to the point they get involved with a foster sibling, like yeah traumatized kids do weird shit sometimes but i never met one who didnt consider that incest adjacent. I had a foster mom who projected this 'promiscuous' label onto me at fckn 11 years old, like woman i promise i may think your nephew is cute or something bur i just want to play with my barbies😢 when this show came out she was SAT and had me watch with her and absolutely ate it all up, sadly all it did for me was make me internalize that rhetoric even more:/

Does anyone remember finding carter? That show was crazy😭

I always felt like Brandon's stories were much more interesting whenever it wasn't regarding Callie, I'll never understand why the writers were sooooo adamant about them having a relationship, specially if ultimately they were going to have Callie and Jude be adopted, their relationship should've never gone pass MAYBE a peck on the lips and whenever it felt like the adoption was impossible even if Callie reached out to him it should've been a moment of both of them snapping out of it and realizing that they don't feel that way for one another anymore and that they genuinely do see each other as family now

GIRLIE I WAS LITERALLY FOAMING AT THE MOUTH LAST MONTH LIKE “where are all ‘The Fosters’ Retrospective’s at?” Thank you for answering my prayers to this unhinged mess of a show!

oh my god i forget how tiny jude is in the first season 😭

I know they aren't related but the whole Cali and Brandon relationship felt incestuous, even though they arent blood related, but they are still in the same adopted family. It's disgusting, i'd never have relations with my adopted siblings. It's a similar feeling to the whole step bro step sis stuff it's disgusting. Not to mention the emotional manipulation Brandon does to her 1:39:35

I never noticed the boom effect you pointed out in the beginning, but now I can't stop laughing about it.

“You’re not disposable Callie” gets me every time 😭 it’s one of those things that you don’t even know you need to hear until you hear it, and then it hits you like a ton of bricks

Also, I LOVE Rita. Especially the monologue that she gave Callie in that last episode. She’s so good for Callie in so many ways and I love their relationship.

Crazy hearing how level headed and mature the conversations they have early on in the show. Surely this will continue

No character gave me more secondhand embarrassment than Brandon like does anyone remember when he was dating that women with the kid and he was in her place trying to be hot and handcuff himself to her bed 😭The thing is Brandon had potential to be good as we seen in the series but whenever the writers make him good for half an episode they make him either stupid and/or Callie-crazy so that character growth is down the drain. Plus, I don't know why they were so fixated on Brallie because I always felt they were better apart. Hell, I think my fav relationship for Callie was with Aaron. Also am I the only one who sees similarities between Lip (Shamless) and Brandon?

I remember my sister being so pissed at callie because she wouldnt leave anything alone 😂😂
