Thank you so much for acknowledging that what Katie did to Drew when he was drunk wasn't consentual. I found it so disturbing that the show never acknowledged that and acted like Drew was in the wrong, when he literally didn't even know it had happened afterwards, but I've never seen anyone talk about it.

I really liked Drew and Clare's friendship. Due to the constant romance roulette there aren't a lot of good boy girl friendships in this show. I knew it would take a romantic turn eventually but I hoped that they would keep them as friends 😭

I think we definitely would’ve gotten a Tori/Miles/Tristan love triangle instead of a Maya/Miles/Tristan love triangle if Tori stayed

The Tristan/Miles/Maya/Zig/Zoe is always so weird to me because to me, it felt so clear that both Miles and Zig liked Maya waaaaaay more than the others potential partners, but Maya was also waaaaay too good for both of them. And too good for Tristan & Zoe lowkey too.

Wow a 2 hour video about one of my favorite subjects in Degrassi, the love triangle I didn’t like the most was Eli, Drew, and Claire. So out of character for Eli to call Claire a slut and really left a bad taste in my mouth

I know this wasn’t the point of the video but to me the fact that the show kept insisting on marco/dylan and then tristan/miles despite cheating and toxicity kinda just proves that Degrassi fell into something that’s very typical of shows (especially back in the day) when it comes to never allowing gay characters to actually have love interesting the way straights do. they’re usually never allowed more than one serious love interest while everyone else gets to shuffle around multiple romance plots. and it is unfortunate.
