8:39 Fun fact: The people controlling the brainwashing program are drawn to look like Stan Lee and John Romita Sr, and the man who has pies thrown in his face is Roy Thomas, making this whole comic a sort of not-so-subtle protest again marvel editorial at the time

Adam Warlock and his alter ego are some of my favorite Marvel characters. You did a nice job summarizing the beginning of their story.

Classic 70's weirdness, Starlin's a genius.

The Magus was created to be a counterbalance to Thanos. He even used to sport a skull themed belt just like Drax ,

Starlin's art was amazing back then. Even if some of his drawings were incredibly weird. But then, I know for a fact that a lot of Marvel's artists at the time did their drawings and got their inspiration from "chemical and herbal enhancements" if you know what I mean. So there was a LOT of bizarre imagery back then.

I know I'm late but one thing that you did not mention, which I think is worth talking about is that the clowns hold a metaphor that goes beyond just the story on it's own.

They were named Lenstean and Jan Hatroomi, which are anagrams for Stan Lee and John Romita respectively.
