If you've ever stood in the supermarket wondering whether to buy full-fat or 0% Greek yogurt, this video's for you.
Today I'm comparing two Greek yogurt bowls using the same base ingredients, but one is made with 10% fat Greek yogurt and the other with 0% Greek yogurt.
The result?
The full-fat bowl comes in at 705 calories, while the 0% version is just 558 calories.
That's a difference of 147 calories... enough to add extra fruit, dark chocolate and walnuts while still staying under the calories of the full-fat bowl.
I also break down:
Why I choose 0% Greek yogurt during a fat-loss phase
Whether full-fat Greek yogurt is actually bad for you
The difference between naturally occurring milk sugar (lactose) and added sugar
The benefits of protein, calcium and live cultures
How to build a high-protein snack that keeps you fuller for longer
The goal isn't to tell you that full-fat Greek yogurt is unhealthy, because it isn't.
It's to show you how choosing a lower-calorie base can give you more flexibility, more food volume and make sticking to your calories much easier when your goal is getting lean.
Full-Fat Bowl (705 kcal)
450g Milbona 10% Greek Yogurt
100g Frozen Blueberries
20g Honey
0% Greek Yogurt Bowl (558 kcal)
450g Milbona 0% Greek Yogurt
100g Frozen Blueberries
80g Banana
20g Honey
10g Walnuts
10g 85% Dark Chocolate
