The poetry is on another level if you ask me.
The Anthology is my favorite part, it's only because I'm so invested in Taylor's career.
And "I Hate It Here" made me cry.
I've been a fan of hers since 2006 when her first single "Tim McGraw" came out.
It's been a long journey.
The fact that she ended the album with The Manuscript kind of explains that — “the professor said to write what you know” (so write songs about her life), “now and then I reread the manuscript but the story isn’t mine anymore” (the manuscript is her song all too well, she wrote about that experience she went through and got through it and now she sings it and it’s just this piece of art she shares with her fans and it’s more like a story she’s telling instead of the raw pain she felt when she wrote it…and the whole TTPD album is the same, she poured all her pain into the album and gave it to the fans and she hopes that the same thing will happen with these songs, where somewhere down the line she’ll sing them and they’ll just feel like stories).
🐔 🍟 <------ hey y'all .. help yourself to some of my extra crispy chicken strips (with hot sauce) and fries with house seasoning while we watch our new show
